'03 Draft Generation Team

Postby Blacknack on Thu Mar 16, 2006 2:21 am

I would like to know your thinkings and opinions about creating a powerful team of 2003 Draft (James, Anthony, Wade...) So I thought for making it to vote 12 players for that team. I'll start:

Wade, Ridnour, Hinrich, James, Kaman, Bosh, Anthony, James, Sweetney, Pietrus, Barbosa and Haslem.

Come on! Let's vote!!! Thanks.

You should add Josh Howard to that list. He's really under the radar when it comes to the '03 draft class. Boris Diaw and T.J. Ford also deserve to be mentioned.

Plus Ridnour, Darko (!!!), Collison, Mo Williams, Korver, Perkins, Pachulia, Willie Green, Walton, Bonner... It's amazing how many quality players that draft produced.

Edit: Okafor was in 2004 draft.

That's one of the proposes of that topic: see how good was this generation. But the most important is seeing who are the 12-15 best players. I didn't forget Howard, but I needed a C or F-C and the switched player was him. Korver is also great. I'm very angry with Darko Milicic. I watched here in Europe (I'm from Spain) and he was really good. But he arrived to the USA and he fall. The only I forgot is Diaw. He's one of the best 5 european players in the league after Gasol, Nowitzki, Parker and Stojakovic or Jasikevicius when that last are on fit. He shown his quality with his triple-double. Kirilenko is one of the players who are "over-rated" but I have must say he is also good.

Why the hell do you have Sweetney on your list?

Have you been watching him since he started playing for Orlando?

No. I haven't watched Darko since he arrived to Magic. I'd lost my hope in him. I'll see him again.

I'll change Diaw for Pietrus. How I said over, I forgot to put him on the team.

I've voted Sweetney because I needed 4 inside men.

Have anybody watched Saras (Jasikevicius) on Europe? Maybe he's better than Parker on fit, but he's less experienced on NBA and older.
