5 most struggling & rising teams

Postby air2k5 on Mon Mar 13, 2006 3:33 pm

I want you guys to name 5 most struggling teams in the league at this point. They do not have to have horrible records, just teams that have huge roster problems, i.e injuries. Here are my 5.
1-Knicks: It is a classic, does anybody really need an explanation?
2-Nuggets: They have just lost another game tonight, Kmart came off the bench to play horrible. Marcus Camby is apperantly still bothered by his injuries has a bad game, Andre's shot is off, Melo is the only guy keeping the team together, he came out with 36pts.
3- Houtson: Tmac out for 5 weeks, Starting lineup is shit, Yao is playing terrific, but that is not enough. Bye bye playoffs
4- Lakers: With Mihm injured looks to be another year for Kobe to miss playoffs.
5- Dallas: That's right, even though they are winning, they will not go far playing the same way they have been after all star break. Dirk is playing well, Terry/Stackhouse are constantly off. Van Horn, Howard, Harris injured.

Now to the 5 more succesful teams in the league. Remember, they do not have to have amaizing records.
1- Sacramento: After they have acquired Ron Artest team has really changed, better defense, more energy. They have came back from 18-25 to 31-31, currently the 8th seed.
2- Detroit: Though not playing as well as they were playing prior to ag I still gotta give them credit, best record, amaizing teamplay.
3 - Miami: lol, has anybody seen the highlights from Shaq's bday party, amaizing, I wish I was there. Anyway, Shaq is playing well, so is Wade. They are 9-1 in the last 10, will definatelly do some damage.
4 - Phoenix: Dallas has made a huge mistake 2 years ago by noit resigning Steve Nash, that guy makes everyone better. With AMare out Nash has really made everyone else look good, Ithink they have a great chance of Winning Western Conferense this year if Amare is back.
5 San Antoniio: I have mixed feelings about them, Manu is stil lbotehred by his injury I think because he is not playing nearly as well as he was, Duncan's health is questionable. Though they have a really good chance of winning again.

Nuggets need to be on there, Martin is constantly injured, patterson is not the best replacement for sg, camby is struggling.

the Sixers' struggles definetely deserve to be mentioned aswell, gotdamn, i dont know what these guys are doing on the court...with such a roster they shouldnt have to struggle that hard to get above 50%, it sickens me.

Facts:
#1 Dalembert can't do anything else with his wingspan and athleticism rather than block, rebound and dunk on alley-oops.
#2 Webber can't defend shit and is primarily a jump shooter.
#3 Korver can only shoot 3s, can't defend or penetrate.
#4 Iguodala isn't getting enough touches when Iverson plays with him.
#5 AI's D is atrocious and he ballhogs way, waaaaaay too much. He should share the ball more often. Webber can be still usefull on offensive end and Iguodala needs his touches to develop.
#6 Bench is non-existent.

Thank goodness you didn't mention the Raptors...

I don't agree with Denver, either. They're 7-3 their last ten games and they've shown they don't need K-Mart to play well.

How on earth is Marcus Camby struggling? The guy's averaging 11, 13 and 5 blocks a game. Hardly any centres can put up those numbers, especially in the blocks category.

Ruben Patterson isn't the best shooting guard in the world, I can give you that, but he's clearly an upgrade offensively over Greg Buckner, and he isn't too bad of a defender himself.

I don't want to compare Ruben to Dermarr Johnson, because Dermarr doesn't get any playing time, even though he is the greatest basketball player to walk the face of the planet, period.

Golden State has to be on the list of teams on the downside... I actually thought they had a chance at the playoffs this year! Portland too... both are 2-8 in their last 10.
