Lebron His % is horrible, below the league average as well. Everyone keeps saying he is way behind Wade in the clucth, but he has only made 3 less game winners than Wade(thats one per year). So, its not that hard for him to catch up in this area.

He is known as the big shot guy in Detroit. But, he has missed alot of big shots too. What you can notice though is he is smart in the clutch and gets to the FT line where he is 10/11 in the clutch. Maybe he should be ranked higher cuz of the FTs?

No its not. He does shoot 24% its not a lying website. Pierce shoots only 35% I figured it was better for Pierce too. LeBron clearly sucks.

Melo is very reliable, half of his clutch shots going in. Nice to have a player that doesn't fail under pressure!

if not Kobe..who?..Lamar?..he might end up with an offensive foul..remember the game vs Kings when they are up by 5 and 22 secs left..?Lamar goes to the drvie and end up offensive foul and Kings tied and won the game..

Cant really judge who is clutch or not based on these stats alone. There are a bunch of other things to take into consideration when dealing with these percentages.

Example: a guy might take a shot and miss it initially, then try to follow the shot and make a couple extra attempts. Even though it was one sequence at the end of the game it would record as him taking 2/3/4 shots. These things add up pretty quick even if he did win the game.

Also being a clutch player isnt solely based on shots taken in the last 24 seconds of a game, there are many other key moments in a game where a team needs a bucket and a player has to deliver it.

Are you really telling me you would rather have Zach Randolph (62.5%) over Chauncey "Mr. Big Shot" Billups (22.2%)?

Yea I mean Clutch isnt just the last 24 seconds of the ball game. Its also coming up big in the last few minutes of the game for your team.

Interesting stats as always but not necessarily conclusive. I wouldn't suggest Jalen Rose as being more clutch than Kobe Bryant. Aside from clutch playing extending beyond the final 24 seconds, one also has to consider the fact a player like Kobe is expected to have the final play drawn up for him or that he's going to take it himself, so the defensive pressure is going to be there immediately, especially on the inbounds pass.

He is Clutch. Everyone else is not.

Clutch play isn't just game winning shots. For all we know a guy could score 10 points and have 3 steals in the last 2 minutes of a game, but if he missed the game winner then that's all we'd see in those statistics posted. It is interesting though.

Kobe Bryant, I read a few months back, is only a few shots away from tying MJ for that category - over their carrers. It may haven been a mistake... but it was around 20? And that's what made it weird... maybe it was buzzer-beaters?

Anyways, the article said noone was near the two of them... doesn't that prove Kobe is clutch?

Billups has more than 4 game winners in the last 3 yrs.

Billups' Mr Big Shot name doesnt just come from winning shots, but also from making big plays towards the end of a game
i wasnt aware how good anthony was at it... or how many times hes done it... good for him

fuck what those stats say, i would still choose billups and bryant to take game winning shots for my team regardless if their stats indicate they only make 24% of their baskets

At last count, MJ's number was around 27 after his Wizards stint. I can't recall Kobe getting quite that many but not being a Kobe fan I haven't followed his career quite as closely or attentively as I did Michael Jordan's.

Quite possible, he's getting up there. Kind of snuck up on it though, he's certainly hit his fair share but I wasn't aware it had climbed that high.

I can't really see him not hitting another 6 or 7 in the next 5 seasons or so. Especially since the Lakers go to him for every single last minute play.

Guess we'll find out in due time.

We might as well start the count for Bogut too. I remember the one against San Antonio and I thought he had another one earlier this year as well...but I could be mistaken.
