He's their tallest active player right now, not named Pat Burke.

On the plus side of Chicago, their roster now stands at 13. This means some spare playing time can be tossed around. I do hope Basden gets some minutes...he's still unproven.

I like Basden. I think he'll be the next Bowen or at least Adrian Griffin. He's a terrific defender and I'm surprised Skiles doesn't play him more. He could provide much needed size at 2.

Thomas ia athletic, but inconsistent. Has one good game every 30+ games or so.

Why does everyone want Thomas? I would stay away from him unless I'm desperate.

He's got a piss poor attitude, he's been an underachiever almost his whole career, plus with all of his athleticism and length you'd expect him to do better defensively and on the glass. Not to mention that he's the epitome of inconsistency.

I wouldn't even offer him the mid level exception. He's such a disgusting failure that doesn't try hard and bashes the teams that were smart enough to get rid of him.

Thomas wasn't playing though, so cutting him loose doesn't really free up any playing time.

Phoenix can afford the risk for the rest of the season. It might even work out, but they don't need him.

He put up 20 off the bench in his first game for Phoenix. Didn't have one other stat apart from fouls though.

Neither did the rest of the Suns team , it was an offensive exhibition.... proof though that Steve Nash is the best point guard in the league.... this guy puts up 20 in his first game with a brand new team after not playing in ages is amazing...

Anyone can score 20 points on the Suns. They're such an offensive oriented team with such a great passing point guard that anyone looks good with them.
