Who deserve to be the starting center for the Heat????

Postby Zo on Mon Dec 26, 2005 6:47 pm

I was wondering why Alonzo Mourning is not in a starting 5 wherein he deserve it..Leading the league in Blocked Shots (3 1/2 BPG) + 10 PPG and has quickness on defense..I think Shaq must be an off the bench player for the mean time to try to fully heal his injury..
So,what can you say???
Exactly what I said!!

Shaq doesn't play much defense, but i'll take his lazy ass than have Zo contesting every shot and giving up offensive opportunities.

Not to mention that shaq's offense is superior.

Yes I am..For the benefit of Shaq also because he has yet to find his condition so far...I just said for the mean time and not permanently through out the season..Zo lead the league so far in Blocks per game..

Hmm.. to make u happy, Zo should start!

Actually, on second thought, they should start Wade at center... afterall he does everything!

Start Fatoine at PG. Then the Heat will be unstoppable.

youve got to be fucking joking

look at shaqs stats since he came back
hes been getting 20-10 (at least) nearly every game!
what did zo get? MAYBE 10-10 on a good day, with a few blocks
those few blocks ARE NOT worth what shaq gives you

This is like the guy who was convinced Vlade Divac should be a hall of famer.

Zo should be starting but not at the expense of shaq. Zo could play power forward alongside O'neal.. imagine both of them patrolling the paint at the same time.

The Heat offense looks much better with Shaq in the lineup as the spacing is better, and having Haslem able to knock down midrange J's is a bonus.

O'Neal's fat ass takes too much room. He covers the entire pain area by himfself. Literally.

Zo starts and plays 1/2 first than shaq plays 2nd half of first to 3q (unless he gets tired), then shaq plays 3/4 of 4th

Good long-term memory.
Go to basketballreference.com and check out who's on the HOF monitor.

It's the HOF monitor of some random unofficial basketball website. I could make my own and put Darrick Martin on it if I want, proves very little.

Zo should be coming off the bench. He doesn't have much of a game outside of the paint so I don't see him being very good at any other position. At his age, it's a bit too late to change positions too. Zo had 3 blocks in the game vs the Lakers and sparked the Heat to take the lead... I think he's a great energy guy off the bench.

Hell we could put Yinka up there, but the true history will never be reviled to this naive world of ours.
