Who's your MVP prediction for the 05-6 season??

Wed Nov 09, 2005 2:52 pm

Just wanted to know who you think is in for a monster year and win the MVP. Too many people to consider so if the name isnt on the list just post and tell us why you think they will win.

Wed Nov 09, 2005 2:59 pm

michael redd? lol...

Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:05 pm

We know who is going to vote for him...

Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:10 pm

Yeah wtf Redd roflorflorlf

Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:22 pm

If Cavs win 45+, then LeBron.
If they dont then Tim Duncan will prob

Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:24 pm

I hella voted LeBron.

Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:26 pm

Redd but no T-Mac?

Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:50 pm

i voted LeBron, but maybe Wade?

Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:51 pm

Duncan or Lebron are my picks.

Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:52 pm

Hahah and theres Redds first vote.

Wed Nov 09, 2005 3:58 pm

Timmeh!

Lebron is probably up there but it will depend on the Cav's record. Same with KG

Wed Nov 09, 2005 4:00 pm

Kobe. Hes playing on a different level.

Wed Nov 09, 2005 4:07 pm

I'll say LeBron.

Wed Nov 09, 2005 4:19 pm

If Kobe Bryant keeps it up and the Lakers get that 8th seeding... Kobe deserves it.

Wed Nov 09, 2005 4:36 pm

I would have said you-know-who
But i reckon that if Redd keeps up this form , than he has a great chance

Wed Nov 09, 2005 5:10 pm

if LA gets to the playoffs Kobe might not still be a lock for MVP, maybe if Phil Jackson campaigns for him similar to what Carlisle did when Artest won DPOY honors. Kobe is still unpopular with many fans and the press.

Ron Mercer?

Wow your really funny with your Mercer references. And since your probably real stupid when I said Ron Mercer and entered 6 laughing smileys I was not really laughing but rather mocking your attempt at humouring the forum. Well at least your faithful to the piece of crap.

Anyway getting back on topic, Id have to go with Tiny Tim...hes the safest pick out of all of them. Its hard to see Kobe getting the MVP crown even if the Lakers finish 8th considering how AI didnt get the MVP last time around despite getting that shit ass Philly team into the playoffs and well Kobe isnt a popular person either just like AI so he'll end up losing votes.

LeBron will win it if the Cavs finish at least top 5 in seedings in the east but the Cavs are looking very poor so far and I have a feeling they'll have to make a late comeback yet again if they want to make the playoffs..they just might make it this time but not sure if 8th spot is enough for MVP even for Bron Bron.

KG well I dunno, again its dependant on the record.

Steve Nash, I dont see him repeating.

Michael Redd, well he has an outside shot at it but that means he'll have to start showing much more all around skill and not just rely on scoring which will soon start dropping.

T-Mac's injury kinda throws him outta contention really, hes going to miss quite alot of games from the looks of things. As for Shaq well hes got an injury too and I think he'll end up with another injury somewhere during this season which will throw him outta any MVP contention plus the Heat are playing like shit right now in comparison to what they are capable of/predicted to be doing.

Wed Nov 09, 2005 7:03 pm

If the Lakers make the playoffs and Kobe keeps playing like this, he has a very good chance.

Wed Nov 09, 2005 7:06 pm

Lebron is my choice. The other two guys are T Duncan and Kobe.

I put him there cuz i know there are a couple people in here who would slice my kidneys if it wasnt there. If there wasnt a name there then I just didnt want to have a pile of options.

I see the Lakers surprising every prognosticators ( a sure fire way to win an MVP is being the best player in a surprising team - see - Nash, Iverson, ). There's no way the the truly deserving MVP's will win anytime soon (Duncan, O'Neal).

After finishing the season as the pacific leaders, Kobe will have preposterous stats to go along with a better than expected season wich will grant him his first MVP.
THen they will go Washington in the playoffs, winning in the first round only to find a proper team that will soundly kick them out of the picture. :P

I think if he keeps this up and the Lakeshow makes the playoffs, he's an absolute lock. Good times ahead (Y)

I understand the Duncan part but not really he Shaq part. I dont even believe he is the best player on his team much less the MVP. His game in on the downslide and if he wasnt winning them every year before then I see no chance of him winning it now. He's a great player to have, dont get me wrong, but if you gave me a choice between him and lets say an Amare, I would choose Amare.
