Who do you think is the best player among the four and why?
Wed Sep 21, 2005 12:45 am
This thread is pointless and probably in the wrong place
BUT
I say Tracy McGrady. Just simply becuase we is an awesome player. Come on, on NBA Live 99 we would draft him 3rd last pick, look at him now!

Kobe si the best of the 4 arogant or not I don't care hes the best basketball player. seconds is Mcgrady at the moment
Wed Sep 21, 2005 1:59 am
Currently, Lebron.
In the future, Lebron.
At the end of their careers, Lebron.
Wed Sep 21, 2005 3:15 am
Another thread like this?
Although LeBron is a better passer and rebounder, his defense doesn't come anywhere close to Kobe's, so for now, it's Kobe. LeBron will definitely be there in a couple years.

The rath of lebrons 05/06 season will make you wanna hide in a dark corner....
or not
Wed Sep 21, 2005 3:43 am
I think it takes a few years for defense to become stingy
I think LeBron's gonna have a monster year, as well as Stoudemire, but for the moment, September 20th, 2005, it's Kobe (as much as I hate Kobe, I gotta give it to him).
Wed Sep 21, 2005 4:30 am
LeBron James
Tracy McGrady
Dwyane Wade
Kobe Bryant.
In that order.
Wed Sep 21, 2005 4:59 am
To close this threath I made a little formula if you can call this to close this threath.
were going to look at all the player on a few aspects they can get points on that who has the most points on the end is the best player.

Same thing with his outside shooting. Lebron isn't on Tracy's level (at least not yet), but he is still pretty solid.
Wed Sep 21, 2005 6:51 am
dwayne wade is, in my opinion, the best, his step back jumper is unstoppapable, but his 3 game is weak, and thats about it
Wed Sep 21, 2005 7:01 am
As much as I don't like him, Kobe is the best of the four. This would be my list:
1) Kobe Bryant
2) Tracy McGrady
3) LeBron James
4) Dwyane Wade
Wed Sep 21, 2005 7:35 am
We had one similar to this before.
Right now it's:
1) Kobe Bryant
2) Tracy McGrady
3) Lebron James
3) Dwyane Wade
Lebron and Wade are tied because Lebron is not much defensively, while Wade is fairly adequate in that area. Lebron is the overall better offensive player though.
Between Kobe and TMac, Tmac was better last season, but Kobe has a lot more competitive fire, and if he can play teamball more effectively, and really put everything together, he's the better overall player.
Ranking their abilities/100:
Scoring: Kobe 90, Tmac 90, Wade 87, Lebron 85
Clutch scoring: Kobe 87, Tmac 80, Wade 85, Lebron 78
Mid-range Shooting: Kobe 85, Tmac 86, Lebron 79, Wade 76
3PT shooting: Kobe 82, Tmac 84, Lebron 78, Wade 70
Inside Scoring/Finishing: Kobe 85, Tmac 80, Wade 84, Lebron 95
Post up game: Kobe 90, Tmac 75, Wade 75, Lebron 80
Stealing: Kobe 70 [for last season], Tmac 80, Wade 78, Lebron 90
Blocking: Kobe 70, Tmac 68, Wade 80, Lebron 65
Man to Man Defense: Kobe 83, Tmac 80, Wade 80, Lebron 70
Passing: Kobe 80, Tmac 80, Wade 83, Lebron 90
Rebounding: Kobe 78, Tmac 80, Wade 75, Lebron 85
Penetration/Foul Drawing: Kobe 90, Tmac 78, Wade 88, Lebron 81
These abilities are ranked for a perimeter player. So post game is in reference to a perimeter players post ability, and inside scoring, blocking and rebounding are the same way. Kobe's clutch scoring is lower because last year he wasn't really that good, he just took a lot of clutch shots. His steal is also down, because well 1.3 SPG in 40.7 MPG is bad, not even a 70, but I know he can be better.
Tmac got vastly overatted as a clutch scorer after that San Antonio game, he actually wasn't the best clutch guy before, and he's good, but not as good as some started to think from one performance.
Wed Sep 21, 2005 9:46 am
2) Kobe Bryant
1) Tracy McGrady
4) Lebron James
3) Dwyane Wade

Lebron is no where near Kobe, Kobe is the only player in this league right now can be compared with MJ,, Kobe works out like crazy during the offseason, otoh, lebron works out 2hrs a day(according to espn), I dont care if Lebron is more talented then Kobe or not, i just know great = 1% talent + 99% hard work
I dont remeber if I heard this from this forum or other ones: according to a survey to all the NBA players conducted by NBA TV, Kobe it the hardest one to guard...
Wed Sep 21, 2005 10:20 am
Working out two hours a day automatically makes him inferior to Kobe right? And how many hours exactly does Kobe work out?
Wed Sep 21, 2005 10:40 am
Kobe Bryant is the most skilled individually and is the best swingman in the NBA right now. Tmac and LeBron are very close behind... Bron is quickly closing in and I hate to say it, but if he can get the Cavs to the second round and make some noise and work on his jumper, Bron would be close to equal to Kobe.
Wed Sep 21, 2005 11:35 am
1.Kobe
2.T-Mac
3.Lebron
4.D-Wade
Right now I agree with this list although it is very close. But in a few years Lebron will be at the top no question if he can keep improving which I think he will.
Wed Sep 21, 2005 12:23 pm
1Tmac
2kobe
3king james
