I've seen a lot of rosters where he's not rated great. His shooting should be 90, imo. He lead the league in FG% for a while last year.
Side topic: There needs to be a hustle rating of some kind, so guys like Bonner and Brian Scalabrine can be more valuable.

I think that most people underestimate Bonner.

That's actually genious. I think this should be implemented in the NLSC Rules, "Should you accidently or unknowlingly create a double topic, one should change the topic before a moderator locks the topic." Bah, my jargon's not good today due to excess alcohol last night.. maybe Andrew could brush that up a bit

Hehe, I did it, now change your posts too.

LOL
nice cover up.
As for Bonner, i don't think he's field goal should be 90+, but around 80 at most. FG not only represents shooting, but layups and other things. Bonner lead the league in FG% because, first, he is a good shooter, he's efficient, and he plays less minutes. If he plays more minutes, he's FG will drop as other players. He's a good player nonetheless. He's rating should be around 60. With hustle, that will be higher, but LIVE doesn't have it so...

Okay, so maybe Bonner gets the Shooter freestyle superstar in 06, and my problem's solved.
I didn't think too hard about what I posted, so this topic may get locked anyway.

I like Matt, he's a good shooter and plays really smart. He fights for every ball, and that is one of the aspects I appreciate the most.

Matt bonner is a carrot that can shoot threes.

lmao
ya, as everyone said, the reason hes a fan favourite is because of his hustle and determination, too bad he lacks speed, it was kind of a pain to watch matt bonner attempt to blow past his defender.

It was ceekay's idea, actually. Thanks ceekay

carrot that can shoot threes: Joe Crispin? that dude used to be with the Lakers, did he change his name or something? so he's moving from the spokesperson of a potato chip company to a condom manufacturer?

If might not go down because he doesn't take bad shots, he knows his limitations. Bonner should have about an 85, I remember one part of the season as a Raptor fan, if you saw him miss an open jumper, you'd think something was wrong with him. He's one of the best open shooters in the league, and he's money from mid-range, and when he started shooting three's last year he became money from there too.
He should have like 85 FG, 80 3PT

if the guy's open and you give him a little space and time he's a great spot up shooter. otherwise he's buhhhhhhhh
Mon Sep 19, 2005 9:14 am
Yup, the thing is that if he's a main contributor on your team, you know you're not that good..
Mon Sep 19, 2005 10:20 am
hes kinda underrated i think, just kinda
Mon Sep 19, 2005 2:31 pm
Yea he is as a shooter....outside of that though, no, because as a PF he can't rebound, defend, block shots, post up or create his own shot in anyway, he tries and all, but that can only do so much.
Mon Sep 19, 2005 8:42 pm
Remember, he's only (was) a rookie. He's got the size and height, and all he needs is to get a little stronger and work on his post play and he'll be unstoppable. If he goes on this road, he can be a relatively close KG. I mean the guy has good meat in him already and all he needs is a few lessons on posting up from Chris bosh or Charlie V and he'll be a great all around player. Don't you think? I hope so, I like the guy and we're always cheering for him whenever he drains J's or 3's.
The question is, can Charlie V and Joey Graham fit the raptors expectation? hmmm we will have to wait nov 2nd to find out
