Whos Better????

Tue Sep 13, 2005 7:09 am

I dont know if this Player COmparison has been done, but who do you guys think is better?

Tracy McGrady

OR

Dwyane Wade

I think its a tough choice:

Tracy McGrady's Upside
McGrady is a great all around player, one of the best "pull up jumper" shooters in the game. He can get to the hoop really good, and can score good too. Shot 43% from the field this year, not too bad for a SF. And near the end of a game you want the ball in his hands. Can also play the 1, 2, 3, and 4 at times (against Dirk)

Tracy McGrady's Downside
Not a very good team leader. Hes not the best playoff player, but in Orlando he had no one, Gooden is somewhat overrated, and Miller can hit 3s. It was his first year in Houston, and its hard playing under a coach who doesnt want him shooting all the time since thers Yao. Can get too flashy at times.

Dwyane Wade's Upside
Only his first year in the league he took Miami to the playoffs. Already has hit like 4 GW shots, 2 in the playoffs, but hes a tremendous player, who can play the 1 and 2. Knows how to get teamates involved. Hes about winning not stats. One of the best players at getting to the hoop, and shot 48% for a guard! Thats insane.

Dwyane Wade's Downside
His jumper, needs work. He can hit it, but needs work. His 3pt shot, is awful. If he can work on that then he will be a dangerous player everywhere. His defense, imo could use some work. while McGradys is underrated.

So what do you guys think????

You're a terrible poster.

Imo I'd have to say Tracy McGrady, simply because he can shoot much better than Wade.. but Wade will improve his jumpers and three's I'm sure.. just like when MJ entered the league.. he couldnt shoot for shit, then mastered his 18 footer. Therefore McGrady all around is a better player but see my answer changing in a year or so.

Tracy McGrady still has the upper-hand and will be better than Wade for more years.

i think mcgrady is better right now but wade is smarter. the thing i like about wade is that he knows what his strengths are and he utilizes it to the best of his ability. rarely do you see him hoist up 3 pointers or anything thats outside his range. sure 3 pointers are not his repetoire but he's helping his team by not throwing them up even though he has the green light. it's pretty hard to compare the two since they have way different styles.. mcgrady is all over the place.. hoisting threes, driving to the lane, dunking etc while wade is a bit more methodical where he picks his spots to attack. he's relentless as well. i think as a few more years passes by wade will surpass mcgrady's greatness

u forgot the poll that nbalive744 made about half a month ago with the same question who is better between t-mac and wade?

I am a huge fan of both players. But I also pick McGrady. Why did you say he isn't a good playoff player. Last year's playoff was good. McGrady can shoot the 3 and Wade cannot shoot as well as him. Both are very flashy and explosive players but my pick is McGrady.

way to back up your argument
very entertaining playoffs indeed
btw mcgrady still hasn't gotten past the first round

D wade..he is a team player..

Just because he hasn't got past the first round doesn't mean he isn't a good playoff player. I remember his first season with the Magic in the playoffs and he had 33 ppg. If that isn't good I don't know what is....
