Center Ranking

Who are the best Centers in the NBA for you?
There are definitely not many, so let's keep the list short.

I came up only with 4, so list your top 5...

1. Shaquille O'Neil
2. Zydrunas Ilgauskas
3. Yao Ming
4. Brad Miller

Timmy Duncan has a C's move set, but I'll not count him in the list since he plays PF in the league.

Since Amare played center for Phoenix this season, I'll list him as a center.

1. Shaquille O'Neal
2. Amare Stoudemire
3. Yao Ming
4. Zydrunas Ilgauskas
5. Brad Miller

I put him in the 2nd spot because he basically more dominate than the other centers listed after him even though he played a different style of play.

If Amare's considered a center then

1. Amare Stoudemire
2. Shaquille O'Neal
3. Brad Miller
4. Yao Ming
5. Ben Wallace

On the outside looking in : Jamaal Magloire, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Chris Bosh(again only if you consider him a center), Tyson Chandler and Marcus Camby.

Shaq is starting to loose his dominance and well hes on a steady decline at the moment.

Indeed. he's rumoured to have grown top a legit seven footer, plus he's gained 25 pounds of pure muscle. And he's only 20. Amare, beware.

Shaq is starting to loose his dominance and well hes on a steady decline at the moment.

Losing his dominance or not, he's still the best center in the league. He's what I prefer to call a legitimate center. Yao doesn't have the body for it, he's just tall, he's got skills, no doubt, but he would've been pushed around a lot if he was in the time of Ewing, Hakeem. He's not strong enough.

Amare is good, I love the kid but I still don't think he's better than Shaq at the moment. Besides, I like him as a PF.
