Being one of the league steal leaders his rookie year and dropping a triple double are signs that the kid has very strong instincts and IQ, things that are difficult to teach. There are many fine players that have never notched a triple double like Iggy did.

Josh Smith is showing virtually an identical development path as McGrady. In school McGrady was also known primarily as a shotblocker, not a guard. He developed guard skills over 4 years in Toronto.

I also think Josh can become a tracy or vince type player if works on his jumpshot and handles he will become a star

JR of what i watched him play he reminds me of kobe/vince type player since already has a jumpshot like them

You gusy are forgetting about Rafael Araujo... He's only 25 and has a huge backside... errr. .. upside.

I agre about Iguodala,BTW, he's a little bit unposlished on the offensive end but the kid seems to have great 'work ethic', so that is bound to improve.

I know he's not on the list, but none would even be spoken in the same breath as Dwight Howard in a few years, mark my words on it. The kid has now grown to be a legit 7 footer, plus he's added some pure muscle to go along. Look for him to play minutes at C next season. He could be the best thing to happen to the NBA's big men legacy since Amare Stoudemire.

Iggy is unpolished because he hasn't been playing basketball that long, he was primarily a track & field athlete in high school. That's why most experts predict a huge upside for him, especially his offense. He's a shaky jump shooter but shot an amazing clip from the free throw line, clear indications he can shoot but hasn't practiced hardcore enough years. It took LeBron & Kobe a hardcore summer or two to get their jumpers down as well, the jumper is the least difficult of things to teach.

As for the natural instinct to be a NBA steal leader and eyes to notch a triple double...those are far more rare than a good jump shot. Which is why i think Iggy has more potential, although in reality all 3 are going to be very good if not stars.

I like Josh Smith and all but i think he is over hyped. If the kid developed an offensive game then you can say he is number 1. Right now here is my list
