Detroit Pistons Still Working Hard

Postby -BHZMAFIA- on Sat Jun 25, 2005 8:27 am

With the Pistons eliminated last night to the Spurs in the NBA Finals, they now have the chance to work on their album "One Hit Wonders"

Sorry to make a new thread about it, but if I were to post it in one of the other threads, no one would notice it as much.

Man, the Pistons still get no respect!
They went to the finals back-to-back seasons, winning one of them, and taking the so-called best team in the NBA to the brink in game 7 of the Finals.

The team deserves respect!

Man, sometimes you're too much of a homer to be taken seriously... I like the Pacers and I hate the Pistons, but I try to be objective...

You aren't a Pacers fan...

And plus, a lot of the stuff I say is in a joking manner.

If I begin rooting for the Pacers BEFORE the official bandwagonning seasons starts, does that make me a legitimate fanwagonner?

Yeah, Indy's kinda fat. :P

Hihihi, sowwy. That's a cool pic, I think Rasheed looks funniest. One hit wonders though? I don't think so. This is a team with no real "star" and yet they got a championship last year against a great team (although they didn't play too well together) and this year they got till the finals and made the champs earn the trophy. They don't have a Shaq, a Duncan or a Garnett, they just do what they have to do.

One hit wonders? Nah.

And what if I liked them ever since the brawl (not because they fought, but how they reacted after all the suspensions, etc.) ?

The Pistons are a good team but I wonder how far can they go if Larry Brown decides not to stay around.

In the immediate future I'm inclined to say Larry Brown given how close Detroit came to winning back-to-back championships, but Detroit shouldn't keep Darko on the shelf too mugh longer. Then again, if we are to believe that some of the vets have privately lost confidence/respect for Brown after what's happened with the Cavaliers perhaps it would be better to part ways before relationships really sour.
