Congratulations indeed to the San Antonio Spurs on a well-earned championship. At the same time, congratulations are in order for the Detroit Pistons as well for pushing the Spurs to the brink and almost defying history. For the neutral basketball fan, you couldn't ask for a better finish to the series. (Y)

Popavich did an excellent job as to containing billups. He put parker, ginobili, bowen and barry on him at different times throughout the 2nd half. I think that Duncan deserved the mvp; ginobili and horry had some good games and some big plays, but duncan i thought was the most consistant out of the 3. Interesting stat-only 4 other coaches have gotten 3 rings or more other than Popavich-Red Auerbach, Phil Jackson, Pat Riley... does that make him an automatic hall of famer?... As i said in another thread, ill be at the riverwalk parade! :P

Congratulations to all those who guessed correctly that Tim Duncan is the Playoff MVP!

-i guessed that the Spurs would the champs at the beg. of this season!

Fuck you, Pistons! You won't be mentioned in campionship talk from now on to the end of times! And these stupid ass fools should shut the fuck up now, and don't feel like kings of basketball. Get the fuck outta my eyes, Piss Tons!

I have a feeling that the Pistons will right back where they were this season and thats representin' the East in the championship game unless the Heat make some improvements to their team. I know most people hate the Pistons because they kicked the Lakers ass, but hey, you get what you get. Congrats to the Spurs even though I wanted Manu to win MVP.

grrr. i stopped watching at the 18second mark... I would've been better that Horry won MVP... he was in the essence "the MOST valuable player" in the series. The big shots in game 5 and the crucial charge he drew on Hamilton in game 7.

Congratulations to the San Antonio Spurs for winning the 2005 NBA Finals... It was a fun and tough 7 game series... To the Detroit Pistons, not bad either... they have proven that they are a worthy championship team last year... Onward to the 2005 NBA draft.

duncan is offically the greatest PF ever to play the game. He just needs to play a few more seasons to get it into everyone head.

The Mailman is the greatest. And at 8 years experience, such as Duncan has it now, Karl Malone was much better.

First of all, no matter what he himself says, TD is NOT a PF, sespite playing the position... just like Amare is not a Center...

He is a Center, tru and true, and that's the position he spends most of his time on the court... The first sub Pop throws on the court is Horry, and he replaces Nazr... mow Horry does not exactly play C now, does he?

Anyway, had David Robinson not been on the Spurs or another team had drafted TD, he'd never have played PF, not a single minute... it's a tribute to his versatility and basketball fundamentals that he managed to learn the position... (Y)

But, make no mistake: Tim Duncan is a natural born CENTER...

I couldnt see TD playing center even though wat u say is a good fact.
I just couldnt see it happening, when I think PF i think Duncan, KG, Malone etc.
Duncan just doesnt fit C for me. As Ben Wallace doesnt fit PF for me.
