Sun Ming Ming is real(video inside)

Sun Jun 19, 2005 4:33 am

heres a video of him doing workouts and stuff

http://rapidshare.de/files/2461256/sunm ... e.wmv.html

he barely has to jump to dunk!!!!!!!

Sun Jun 19, 2005 4:35 am

It will be interesting to see if his cardio can handle sprinting up & down the court and playing NBA level interior basketball.

Hope he's not just another Diop.

Sun Jun 19, 2005 4:36 am

he won't be diop....he's way taller then diop

Sun Jun 19, 2005 4:55 am

Arrgh, every time there's a file on rapidshare.de, it says: "IP blahblah is not allowed to use the free-service anymore today. We detected very extreme downloads. Don't worry! This has not to be your fault." Oh, really? Who's fault is it then? Bastards.

doesn't work for me, damn i really want to see how tall and huge this guy is.

Sun Jun 19, 2005 6:44 am

god damn this guy is slow. i would say with serious training he might be ready to play in the nba in 2 years. now i mean 2 years of hard core workouts. i hope he makes it, i love when these tall ass players make it in the nba.

Sun Jun 19, 2005 7:08 am

thank you for the vid

Sun Jun 19, 2005 7:11 am

if he can run 3x faster then he can play in nba.

Sun Jun 19, 2005 7:52 am

I'm like the exact opposite of Sauru because most of the time, these real tall players aren't that good. Just like Nelson pointed out in the video, people think all because someone is tall, that means they have a chance at the NBA. I would think that some of the people on this forum, no matter what their height is inclduing me could probably beat Sun no matter how tall he is. The way his ball handling skills are and how slow he is, it should be easy to rip him, unless he tries to back you down the entire time. I just wouldn't like to see him in the NBA and taking the spot of someone else that has a normal height and weight and can actually play and is NBA bound.

Sun Jun 19, 2005 8:01 am

*cough* Shawn Bradley *cough*

Sun Jun 19, 2005 8:16 am

I think what Sauru meant was he loves seeing tall NBA players - regardless of their skill. Probably because they're fascinating to watch.

Btw, I was able to watch the video now - and my god, he is slow! He has no vertical too (not that he needs it, but it'd help), and his chances in the NBA aren't too good at this point, imo. There's something funny about his shooting style (the way he flicks his wrist on release), but he's able to make it in a little better than Shaq can (sorry Jackal ;) )

Sun Jun 19, 2005 8:44 am

 Shaq throws up bricks, I've learned to deal with that one by now.

Not another asian player, please. Their bland facial expressions are just so...bland for my taste. Dammit man, show some kind of facial expression during the game or after. :x

Ok, I still feel the same way though  What did impress me is the shots he did make, I don't know if they were just showing the shots he made, but if he shot like that throughout the entire workout, he has a great shot. I laughed when I saw him dunking because it look like he was on one of those Fisher Price goals

LMFAO That is funny as hell Colin!!

What really impresses me about the tall players, is the their amazing head movement. I mean, its extraordinary to see that on defense or offense, all they move is their head and nothing else.

yes, that is my signature.

What happened was that in a series against the Heat, Pippen got elbowed by Mourning, so Jordan got pissed and told everyone the series personal, and the rest is history.

Anyways, Sun Ming Ming... care factor, low. But I'd like to see someone pick him up and try to develop him into something that resembles a basketball player.

Mon Jun 20, 2005 3:44 am

WTF is that picture?? OMG, it's hilarious

On-topic: Like everybody said, he slow as fuck...

Mon Jun 20, 2005 4:09 am

He's tall as hell, it would be sadly if he doesn't come to the NBA with that height.
7-8! Can you belive that!!!

Back to topic, did they put slow motion when he ran?! lol
He really needs some footwork training, seems like he had never ran before... He'll probably be another Podkolzine

That is real! When Bulls played against Heat in the playoffs i think it was in 95-96 or 97-98.. when Alonzo was in Heat.
That was hit hard by Alonzo when Pippen faked the ball and jumped later on. Alonzo landed and hit pippen's head with the elbow.

I couldn't download the file.. It wasn't there anymore..

Mon Jun 20, 2005 7:07 am

no way...

Damn, how many aspirin you think he took that night?

And yea Sun Ming Ming is a stiff so far.

Mon Jun 20, 2005 4:11 pm

He's 7-8 nearly 7-9... they'll probably list him at 7-9, but anyway.. he's bloody 7-8 how fast do you expect him to run? I mean... it's gotta take some time for his brain signals to get to his muscles.
He could probably just take 3 strides and get from the paint to the centre line.

Mon Jun 20, 2005 5:04 pm

oh man i smell something a stiff right here.

after Shawn Bradley you'd think the NBA would give up their interest
