You have to love Big Shot Bob... He has that rare trait only a select few have, being far better than normal in high pressure situations... maybe it's heart, maybe something in the genes...

Robert must be the most famous NBA player ever to average below 8ppg in his career... (Y)

I'll back up on that gossip, I saw her in the stands, and the commentators were saying the same thing.

Robert Horry is one of the most calm player I've ever seen. It's like he doesn't care if he's in the NBA Finals (maybe it has to do with the fact he's been there so many times).

Love him because he reminds me of Sam Perkins...and he's just an assassin in the playoffs. Evil but laid back.

Unless he goes cold, he's going to stand alone in the record books for most career three pointers in the NBA Finals. As one of the articles mentions, should the Spurs win he'll have six rings, the most of any active player. Indeed, it hasn't been a bad career for a player with a career average of 7.5 ppg.

That reminds me of the Sports Guy's column on Horry.

I don't want to derail this thread though so I'll make another one with a poll.

Robert Horry was very important to Lakers 3peat Championships. Though he didn't score alot, but he scored points when Lakers needed them the most. IE, Vs. Portland, vs. Philadelphia, vs Sacromento etc etc..

He was the guy who was a key component in the Cedric Ceballos trade so that says something about how good a hustle and clutch player that Robert Horry was (Y)
