Alonzo Mourning. If I recall, he came second in MVP voting one year, while winning the DPOY.

Oh, and he certainly was a Beast! (Bad joke -- just use the EDIT button, dude.)

Has to be Zo for me too, but I doubt the Heat will have a better player than Shaq on its roster.

No doubt it will be Zo, he's the franchise player of this team during those year where they the division winner i think 4 straight years....

And Timmy will be 2nd....

Just to add some names, EJ already been mention but if you put guys like Bimbo Coles i think it will be fair to put names like P.J Brown and Dan Marjerle (sp).

I voted for Timmy because he is the original crossover inventor and I like guards better. And I'm just not a big fan of Zo, but if Wade remains a Heat for the rest of his career or the majority at least, he will be the best IMO as long as he keep acceling to new heights.

Who's the Beast Heat Player? Since Ben Wallace doesn't or didn't play for the Heat, I'll go with the next big man, Alonzo.

With all due respect to Rice and Tim Bug, I'll have to go with Zo as well.

Did you just suddenly run out of names to fill up your poll with that you had to add Bimbo Coles? Who the hell names themselves "Bimbo" Coles anyway? Kurt Thomas? Please. Chris Gatling played less than 82 games with the Heat, and Steve Smith's stay was also pretty short and he was only a 20 point scorer after his Miami days. Matt Geiger is just about as useless as a sack of potatoes. Mashburn had the talent and played a couple of seasons for Miami, but was hurt quite a lot for most of the seasons he was there. Rony Seikaly put up some good numbers for a while but they just aren't up there with the "best".

Only Glen Rice, Zo and Hardaway should be considered among those players. I'd say 'Zo too, because he was the guy you remembered the Heat by. Tim was good, but I think 'Zo was always the go-to guy for the Heat at both ends of the floor.

Ricky Davis was part of the Heat at one point, no? He would've been better than Seikaly, Coles and Geigar.
I'd also say that Zo was the best heat player.

I think Wade and Shaq would've been better inclusions than Seikaly, Coles and Geiger and those two don't even deserve to be in the list yet.

i thought timmy's best years were in GSW and after that major knee(?) injury, he just wasn't the same player

and i don't see how not being fan of a player has to do with whether or not he was the best player of a franchise
