Mock Draft...Please help!!!

Postby ryan_giggs1986 on Sun Apr 24, 2005 7:20 am

Misow and I released our rookie patch http://www.nbaliveforums.com/ftopic23490.php 2 days ago. we placed all the rookies in the free agent pool in the 1st version of our rookie patch. for version 2, we plan to put the rookies on their prospective teams by a mock draft. the mock drafts on both nbadraft.net and draftcity.com are missing some players and they did NOT put team needs into considerations. therefore, we need you guys' help to simulate the draft for us.

Format:
With the ____ Pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the (nba team) select (player) of (college or country)
Reasons/Analysis (at least a sentence)
**please do NOT comment on other people's draft decisions until the draft is over.

Players Available for the draft:
++All the players on nbadraft.net except ilysova, aleksandrov, and majestovic
++additional players: shelden williams, mardy collins, adam morrison, andrea bargnan, deng gai, will conroy, tiras wade, tre simmons, tj sorrentine, taylor coppenrath, chris thomas, torin francis, moussa badiane, guillermo diaz, jackie manuel, sun ming ming (7'9'' chinese center)

Draft Order: http://www.nbadraft.net

Let me get the ball rolling

With the 1st pick in the 2005 nba draft, the Atlanta Hawks select Andrew Bogut of Utah
Analysis: the hawks need a big man in the worst way. who's their current starting center? jason collier? kevin willis? peja drobnjak? Andrew Bogut will be a major upgrade at the center position for them. they can use their second round pick to draft a fairly good pg such as john gilchrist. however if they draft chris paul with their 1st pick, there won't be any decent center left after the 1st round.
