Darius Miles scores 47

Postby Andrew on Wed Apr 20, 2005 1:35 pm

Add Darius Miles to the list of Blazers doing extraordinary things in a season that's already gone down in flames. He scored 47 points, besting his previous career high by 16, shot 19/33 from the field (also a career high) and added 12 rebounds, 4 steals and 5 blocks playing 40 minutes off the bench. His 8/14 free throws also ties and exceeds his career marks for makes and attempts respectively.

I can't picture Darius Miles scoring that many points because he isn't that much of a streaky shooter. He must've had alot of dunks and layups for him to get 47.

47 is great but not that 'impressive' coming at this time of the year and against a team that gave up 70 some odd points phoenix at half time.

but hey 47 is a lot of points regardless.

I'm afraid that he'll never repeat something like that again.I would like to see him in dunk contest though.

This just clinches the fact that offense is back, when Damon Stoudemire drops 54, Darius Miles drops 47 and Manu Ginobili drops 48, you know offense is back! :D

JVG is going to clone himself and send out his clones as coaches to kill offense again, he's not too happy right now.

Pffft, he's one of the reasons Stern started seriously contemplating on the age limit with his mid-season theatrics...

I never liked the kid, got his big payday and then went on to declare himself King of the Game and diss off an all around nice guy like Mo Cheeks.

I'd throw 47 punches at him alright...

As the third pick, I'd agree. Had he been later on, even lower in the lottery he wouldn't look like such a bust. I agree that the "next KG" ship has sailed though.
