What's up with no one discovering someone like this before he's 21!? Just imagine what he could have been if he had been trained by proffesional trainers since he was like 10

Holy shrimp! That guy is 236cm and 160kg! That guy is able to blow Yao away! Imagine he would dunk on Amare... the Suns would lose their PF for three years. Hopefully he's gonna get drafted in this year's draft... #1 for sure! The Lakers and Wolves have a chance of getting #1 spot.

Wow, I know China has a large population, but another super 7-footer is beyond my comprehension. He has a cool name, Sun Ming Ming. I can see the ESPN headlines now: Ming vs. Ming Ming.

I think he should consider a hockey career as a goalie. Just have him sit in a Yoga position, give him some equipment, and nothing gets past him.

Hey cyanide, I always had that question about hockey. Being that the goal is actually quite small, what would happen if a team signed an 6'6", 700 pond ex-Sumo wrestler and just had him sit in fron of the net? Would the league allow it?

say.. only 0.01% has this unsual height..
there're still around 1,300,000 people
well reason chinese can get into nba is height..
ie, wang zhizhi, megnkebateer, yao ming..
they're all tall.

I think so, except he would probably fail training camp  No matter how wide the ex-Sumo wrestler would be, there's gonna be holes between the legs, and between the arms and shoulders, so speed and agility is important.

The biggest problem with giants is getting up & down the court. Manute Bol would have been fine if the NBA was half-court :P

In his first years w/ Orlando Shaq ran the break as fast as any guy. The thing is Shaq really won his championships past his athletic prime, same w/ Jordan's 2nd threepeat.

It doesn't matter if you're 8' 10" if you're not there, the other center will dunk uncontested.

I think you are underestimating the actual size of a 6'6" 700 pound human being. Trust me, I've seen one up close and it is simply indescribable...

Age: 21
Height: 7' 8 3/4"
Weight: 350 lbs.

That's enough to scared the hell out of many players including Shaq

Reports said he had never done any weight training - so I guess he's as weak as Yao which is useless in today's Nba.

I wonder he has any high school or college experience back in his native country and what stats were, well I guess it doesnt matter coz Yao was averaging some incredible numbers in China but once he came to the NBA, he's just an above average center.

Imagine if he could get strong enough to get into the low post, all he'd have to do is turn around and dunk without jumping. I'm definitely reserving my spot on the Sun Ming Ming bandwagon.

Edit: Damn, I can't find any pictures of him on google.

Give him a year with heavy weights and intense training, and he'll be pretty strong and flexible by then. I'm kind of curious about his court sense, shooting, rebounding, blocks, etc.
