It's raining bricks in Oakland!

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Damon Stoudamire gave a surprised shrug when he learned he had just set the NBA record for 3-point attempts while racking up his sixth career triple-double.

Even for a soon-to-be free agent, such numbers don't mean much when a team has been beaten and battered as much as Stoudamire's Trail Blazers.

He broke the record set by Denver's Michael Adams in 1991 and matched by Dallas' George McCloud in 1996, but his thoughts were on the short plane ride back to Portland and some much-needed rest.

I hope there's not another thread about this, but I laughed so hard when a friend told me Damon Stoudemire broke the 3pt attempts record, but made a horrible percentage out of it!

Here's the stat: 5-21 3pt, 6-25 FG, 12 Rebs and 11 Ast in 48 Min.

(He got his 6th career triple-double, but his 3pt shooting was SHIT.) :P

I think it said somewhere that the interim coach said "we were getting good looks, but we just weren't knocking them down."

portlands a big fucking joke.. their coach is a complete imbecile.
i can't believe they got rid of mo cheeks, probably one of the only GOOD thing that was going for the organization when they should've dumped off piece of shit scrubs like darius miles.
5-21 threes, wow.. speechless to say the least

It doesn't surprise me for some reason. It's like taking 21 field goals (which is common with Kobe, T-Mac, etc) except it's behind the line. But yeah, on second thought, 21 three pointer attempts is quite a lot. I'm surprised Antoine Walker didn't hold that record
