Reggie 10 points away from Jerry West

Postby Indy on Tue Apr 12, 2005 10:04 am

If reggie scores 10 or more points in todays game against the raptors he will pass jerry west on the all-time scoring list.

and yet some think he is still not a h-o-f.

Oh please, who?

Reggie gets his dues. He's a Hall Of Famer in the eyes of pretty much anyone who knows basketball.

that makes me sick to my stomach. i mean wtf are they thinking? i would put him in the hall just for that showdown he had with bird back in the day. nique was the shit and he never, ever, ever got the due respect he deserved. wtf was he for dream team one? what about when they announced the 50 best ever? they had shaq on that damn list(now he belongs, then he is no way belonged). this guy just cant get a fair shake.

Alex English is next, but he is about 500 points ahead of reggie, so that will not happen.

I am very satisfied with reggies spot in the all-time scorers list.

Congrats to Reggie. J West is/was one of my favorites and indeed a better and complete player than Reggie but one thing we can't take away from Reggie is that he is the King of the 3 pointers :) and only thing lacking from his resume is a championship ring hehehe

Nique's snubbing was indeed a terrible decision by the HOF voters, but I don't think Reggie will suffer the same fate. Even if he retires without a championship (which it seems he will), he's still secured his place in history with all his playoff heroics. He's also a career leader in a couple of statistical categories while ranking high on others, which strengthens his case.

even though I dont like him this is great stuff to take over Jerry West.

And I dont think theirs any question on whether he should be in the HOF or not....he should be there even if he never got his hands on the title...Im guessing he might be inducted into the HOF the same year Karl Malone is.

It was a great game, and I couldn't have asked for anymore in his final appearance.

Reggie Miller is without a doubt a future Hall-Of-Famer. Love him or hate him, you can't deny the mark he's left. One of the greatest jump shots in NBA history. He can dunk if he needs to (*cough*unless Tayshaun's around*cough*).

He gets a reaction from the fans. Cheers in Indiana, and boos in New York. He's undisputibly one of the greatest players of all time. The best athlete to ever play for the Pacers.

When will it finally be Miller Time for the Hall-Of-Fame? If not by the next induction ceremony, I'll be pissed.

He's the...
3-point makin',
hard foul takin',
never traded,
never faded,
free throw sinkin'
game time thinkin'
all-star teamin'
Spike Lee steamin'
record holdin'
referee scoldin'
Miller Man.

Please, NBA, give him what he oh-so-obviously deserves.

EDIT: And if you beat Jerry West in anything, that should be a right-of-way right there. After all, Jerry West is NBA logo.

He'll have to be retired for at least five years first. Otherwise he's not eligible.
