minny lose to nuggets ( bye playoffs)

although not mathamatically out yet, you can sense it's over right now.
now 4games behind the grizzlies in the lost column; only 6 games remaining+ grizzles own tie breaker so its really 5 games.
so in a sense; its over

*sigh* I was at the game...Cassell missed HIS shot to send it to overtime. You could sense the air getting sucked out of the team right there.

It's sad to see...I will continue to support the team and I still believe this team can make the playoffs but they just simply waited too long to turn on the switch. Where was this energy and passion two months ago against the Toronto's and the Charlotte's?

I feel bad for Garnett, Saunders, Madsen and the fans that had to endure this season. This is the first time that the team has UNDERachieved...the whole franchise history the Timberwolves have been overachievers but this year is different in a bad way. This was suppose to be KG's finest year but this has turned into his darkest one. I think the team will regroup and reload and make a run next season, as always.

But it ain't over until it's over. And we will continue to fight because that's what we do. (Y) 8-)

Dre did it again....whenever I watch/ed a Cavs/Clippers/Nuggets game he always has had a double double stat line.....the Nuggets are just too good at the moment....big win for the Grizzlies aswell over Miami.

Its close to being over now....unless Duncan returns the Grizzlies should easily beat the Spurs and I think they can beat the Rockets too....and I think the T-Wolves will falter.

On the other hand the Griz after this next game against the bobcats have to play dallas, houston, denver and san antonio on the road then get dallas followed by san antonio at home for the last games of the season. That doesn't sound easy.

Wovles have atlanta on the road, golden state at home, utah on the road seattle at home, new orleans on the road and san antonio at home to end their season. Sounds a lot better.

i just hope KG dont ask to leave or anything like most big name players seem to do nowadays. imo he belongs in minny so i wanna see he stay there for his whole career. they can rebuild easily and make another run. hell maybe the lottery gods will smile on them the way they smiled on the magic way back when? lol ok i doubt that but i rather see that than the lakers being smiled on.

Kevin will not leave Minnesota. He is one of the few loyal superstars in today's sport. He just got married, he has a nice house, he loves the city, the state and the fans and he said it himself "I'm going to be in Minnesota for the rest of my life". KG doesn't complain when things go wrong, this is just going to make him hungier next season.

KG said he only wants to win a championship for Minnesota, not anyother team. And we believe him because he has had numerous chances to pack up a leave during his 9 years (8 straight playoff faliures) but he didn't. He won't leave now.

I kind of hoped Minnesota could pull it off, but I guess it's all but over now.

Minnesota is the closest thing I have to a home team. You might think it would be the Raptors since I live in Canada but I have been to five Timberwolves games and no Raptors games.

My parents and I like Minnesota so we go on a trip there every once in a while.

A lot of people like Minnesota, it's a nice place to live. But sport's is even better. We aren't bandwagon fans and we support the team even through the hard times. Minnesota fans LOVE hard work which is why we are so in love with the Garnett's and the Anthony Carter's. Which is also why this season has been so hard, because it's been totally uncharacteristic of what this franchise has been.

But, enough about the Timberwolves. :x

good post riot. I know how you must feel when you see guys like Garnett, Saunders, Madsen, and i want to add wally sczerbiak to that list, of guys that were supposed to contend for a title this season but because of guys like Cassell and Sprewell, and no passion and no heart of a champion, they missed out on the playoffs completely. Definitley a heartbreaking season for T-Wolves fans.

I saw the game on ESPN, it was pretty good.

Back and forth through 4 quarters, and that nice pass from Boykins thru the Kandiman's legs LOL. :P

I believe Memphis can't do any better than 1-6 the rest of the way for Minnesota to still have a shot at the playoffs. They still may not be mathematically out of it yet, but official elimination is surely only a couple of games away.

From a historical standpoint, does anybody remember offhand the last time two teams that met in the conference finals failed to make the playoffs the following year?
