Why isn't Dirk Nowitzki getting any love around here?

He's averaging career high in points, rebs and assists and is currently second in efficiency.

PPG: 26.5
RPG: 10.10
APG: 3.1
FG: .452
3P: .388
FT: .862
Steal: 1.27
Blocks: 1.55

Do you see those stats he's putting up? he's the closest thing to Kevin Garnet as far as stats, and his team is going to the playoff once again. I think he deserves some MVP considerations.

Thanks.

He has a lot of help and he's not on a top three team in either conference, which is something that does seperate him from the other guys who are having great seasons and are having their names thrown around for MVP.

I show him no love simply because I hate him. He is so soft and everytime he wails his arms or falls down, the call automatically goes the opposite way. I respect his talent but I don't respect how he doesn't stop flopping (that's why I hate Vlade).

Nowitzki is totally changing his game around, he is improving on defense and a lot of people have noticed that he is not as soft as he used to be.

Just give him another year or two.

theres always someone overshadowing him.....perhaps if Mavs were top 3 he'd get more recognition, but they need Stack & Dampier back ASAP

He always has a top 3 team talent-wise yet he was never able to lead them to that record. And last year going out in the first round really hurt his rep.

Losing in the first round should destroy a player's reputation. Every great player, even the greatest players in history have tasted defeat at some point, with some suffering first round exits. In the unpredictable world of sport, it happens.
