NZ need new young talented players..
they can't just play with the veterans... over n over again..
and they played aussie with those same players..
even in a tournament league..ie, NZ BREAKERS..
they.. sux

btw.. where's Kirk Penney.. and .. Sean Marks..

what do u think bout them..

the only thing im impressed bout nz bball team in 2002 is that..
they shot very well at the 3 pt line...

Sean Marks is still playing for the Spurs....he's permanently rooted on the IR....but he did get a handful of games (albeit garbage minutes) in the last month or so, but with the acquisition of Nazr Mohammed he's back on the IR....

as for Penney, last time I heard he was playing the NBDL for Oklahoma or one of those teams....doing alright....he played a game or two for Clippers in a 10 day contract I think earlier this season....

both are fringe NBA players, and Penney will likely find a good role in Europe....as Marks is a big man, he will stick with Spurs for another couple of seasons at most I'd say....

I think NZ basketball is the best its ever been....don't forget to throw in Mark Dickel who is the hub of the NZ team and very underrated....he did lead NCAA in assists in his senior season and was a possibility of sliding into draft but had serious head injury a month or two before it....never has had the chance....but never will as there are so many good PG's around....

NZ has a couple of players in college and I'm hoping we can stay competitive (ie. in Top 10-15 in the world) from now on....at least we're more competitive these days in the Tran-tasman rivalry (Y)

I wouldn't call praising the NZ team or looking at ways of keeping them in the Top 10-15 teams in the world bagging the Aussie team :?
