Postby Amphatoast on Mon Feb 28, 2005 1:06 pm

2 teams vince carter has played on..very similar records and been like that even after the trade. Which team will have the better record in the end of the season?

Nets, they have RJ coming back. The Raptors have Alvin Williams.

That's exactly why I voted for the Nets. They got a great young player coming back!

They'll both be sitting at home watching the playoffs.

The Nets will likely finish ahead of our Toronto boys, their team is not that good really, and we're much deeper, but they have 2 superstar caliber players in Kidd and Carter while we have none, just a rising star in Bosh.

The Nets, they are playing some good ball since Carter arrived.
Play the game, win the fight!

Yea, considering how Vince has been playing on their team, and even though they are weak all-round with Kidd and Carter, they can do well.

Looking at Vince's numbers in 13 games this month [including today vs Cleveland]: 30.2 points | 6.3 rebounds | 3.8 assists | 44.4% FG | 45.5% 3PT | 7.6 - 8.5 FT Attempts | 1.38 steals | 1.15 blocks

The Nets, but I don't think they'll manage to crack the top eight.

is it wrong to hope webber gets a career ending knee injury? ... and if it isn't.. is it wrong to actively cause webber to develop a career ending knee injury?

it's for a good cause.. ie nets making it to the first round of playoffs

You never wish for such a bad thing, you only wish that stuff for Vince Carter. Eventhough he is ma fav player, i still hate him for ditching Toronto.

Please, please, don't get me started on Vince... I won't be able to cool down... :x

I think the Raptors will finish ahead. They beat the Lakers.
Only because I want them to, I actually doubt they will be able to :P

BTW fgrep, I registered at raptorblog... I think... no reply or something from Scott yet but sometime you may see me posting there ;)

Toronto is an international team, and with so many european players playing in the NBA.... NBA teams should be in Europe also. That would be sweet, but you would have to travel a lot.

i dont think we will ever see a euro team in the nba. i can see a euro nba but never a team from europe in the nba. the travel and timezone problems would be too much. also the team would never in a million years be able to sign a top free agent with the exception of players born in that country.

Raptors. Looking at them on paper, sure one would probably go with the Nets. But if you've actually seen them play, I'd go with Raps. They've won 4 of 5 I think (3 straight), they beat New Jersey last week... Jalen Rose was Player of the Week I think. Raps got heart. 'nuff said.

Gotta back the Nets. With Kidd running the point and VC playing as well as he is at the moment, it's tough to bet against them in this contest.
