Warriors: Solid Team?

Do you think after the Baron Davis trade, that the Wariors will be a contender in the West?

Its a possibility
Philly is now a contender in the East
I believe the Warriors can do the same once Davis gets settled in :P

I think the Warriors were always a pretty good team, but they cant close out games, maybe B-Diddy is the missing ingriedient for the Warriors

The missing ingredient for the Warriors is an inside player. They need to pick up a good C to be a real contender, but I definitely like the look of their team.

They could be a big team next year, once B-diddy is fully healthy...

I think the addition of Baron Davis makes the team better, but they are still missing some pieces to make the playoffs.

They will be going nowhere.

Its essentially the same style lineup as the arenas era warriors
minus an inside player.

They might be a good team, but they won't be worrying any of the top 8 west teams.

they got skita & rodney white now. That's a whole lot of potential. I don't know about Skita, but White should be a 15ppg scorer very soon. They should be looking for a very solid season next year.

Foyle
Murphy
Dunleavy
Richardson
Davis

Bench: Skita, Fisher, White, Pietrus

sounds pretty good to me.

A contender? Not yet.

I'm scared the draft pick Dallas got in the next one the team could have. We ( ) really need an inside player.

White should thrive now... I really expect him to... Skita, I don't know about him... yet.

This team better starting winning soon, because it'll be pretty tied up to Baron's, J-Rich's, Murphy's and Fisher's contracts.

They'll be a playoff contender for sure if Baron can stay healthy, he's a player that's capable of carrying a team to the postseason, and his presence will definately help.

Baron - J-Rich - Dunleavy - Murphy - Foyle is a pretty good starting lineup.

Indeed, that 40+ mill on Foyle was an abosulte waste.....they could have gotten someone on his level for much less. better yet trade a 1st rnd draft pick for a decent guy....much like the Spurs did for Mohammed.

If they still had Dampier, then maybe, but they wouldn't have been able to keep him anyway.

Does anyone has info on the pick? The one goin' to Denver, which one would it be? 2005? 2006?

The 2005 draft will be pretty strong for PF's... damn

They will be a good team but in the offseason look for Mullin to do some more majic. We still need a center and we're set. Maybe if we can get a high enough draft pick we can draft one. WARRRIORS!!!

The draft pick going to denver is Dallas's 2007 pick. We still have our pick this year.

OMFG... you saved my day...

Now let's hope we can get a top 8 or 10 pick... and nab one of the PFs... maybe Taft? What you guys think? Then Murphy could slide to C...

And let's also hope Biedrins takes out his pampers

Top 8 or 10? Right now we should be getting the #4 if it went by record. Hopefully we can break into the top 2 and get a good center.

If they end up after the draft with someone like Bogut or Andriuskevicus, I like the look of their team. Without one of them, Foyle is such a liability and they would probably try to rush Biedrins, also not a good option.

Their biggest downfall has always been letting the wrong young guys go. Jamison and Arenas are two of the best players in the league, and completely turned around Washington, and both could have easily been kept. Instead they overspent on Troy Murphy, and will probably overspend on Mike Dunleavy, who I doubt will ever get to the level everyone thought he could coming out of the draft. Just imagine if right now their lineup was:

C - Dampier
PF - Jamison
SF - Richardson
SG - Arenas
PG - Davis

They would no dout be over the cap, but that group would be locked up for 3-4 years and despite being a little undersized, is still a very good rebounding squad, and can basically run a 2 PG system with Davis who penetrates and Arenas who runs the offense and can knock down three pointers. Jamison and Dampier are two awesome rebounders and can block a lot of shots, and Richardson would be the wild card, who can spot up whenever or can penetrate and receive a lot of good passes from his two awesome point guards.
Just my opinion, unfortunately, most NBA teams don't look to video game forums for potential general managers.

Gotta agree with you there... yeah. (Y)

I read somewhere Dunleavy probably won't stay... maybe they won't even pick his option year, I dunno... I'd rather see him go with somone on the offseason... for a draft pick.
