Retro database?

Is there a database website somewhere which can give me information on players and their looks since 1979-80 season up to late 90s or more?

Im planning to do some retro rosters, and I have the stats but I dont have any, absolutely no information at ALL about the looks of at least 90% of the players in 80s and many many in 90%. All Id need is just a pic of some sort since I wont aim for perfect accuracy with the facial features, but at least skin tone or some sort of hairstyle should be visible on a picture or so.

Anything would be helpful

If you don't mind shelling out the cash, this encyclopedia CD-ROM is pretty good. It's a little outdated of course, but that doesn't matter if you're looking to make a season prior to 1994/1995.
