RIP. I didnt know it was him who did play-by-play(I hated his voice in those games anyway, too boring). Looks like you beat Mafia to it.

RIP DON

i was at my hs bball game and when i got home and saw the news i was shocked because he was pretty young at just 53 yrs old. i just saw him on tv two days ago and now to know that he is gone is a sad thing.

I remember him from Live 2000 till 2003, his voice was alright, it wasn't Marv & The Czar but it was better than having no voice at all.

DAMN! Then when you banked a three he would scream "YES!" "GOT ITTTTT!!" and when you missed it would be "MISSES THE LAYUP!" "MISSESSSSSSSSS!!!!"

Even though I had numerous posts in "NBA Live Wishlist" containing the some combination of the words "GET RID OF DON POIER", it's still sad to see him go...

RIP i used to like when dude Bob Elliot used to get hyped during the game and say corney stuff like 'Man that dunk was fat nasty'
i never heard anyone in my life say that besides him

Ummmm......... I think I am thinking of an earlier commentator :? Live 98 I think. Anyways, whoever it is he commentates the golf in Happy Gilmore as well. Maybe not Don Poier I guess? :?
