Vince looked great in his first Nets game.
He also limped multiple times, and caught a "cramp" that caused him to have to be helped off the court.
Half-Man, Half-A-Season indeed.

maybe hes not "comfortable" in NJ either?
Tue Dec 28, 2004 2:02 pm
For some reason i believe that vince doesn't belong in the NBA
Tue Dec 28, 2004 2:14 pm
indeed, but i'm doubting that he's even HALF amazing now
Tue Dec 28, 2004 2:37 pm
he's so injury-prone..... cannot believe it, HIS FIRST GAME...
Tue Dec 28, 2004 2:51 pm
Apart from the injury, seems he had a pretty decent game coming off the bench. I'm guessing Buford won't be starting ahead of him for too long.
Tue Dec 28, 2004 4:12 pm
yea he will be starting soon, do you think he got those leg cramps because he's been injured and havent played in a game for awhile?
Tue Dec 28, 2004 6:16 pm
it was dehydration apparently..

@ rasheed wallace mocking him when he was down

Speaking as one of the few who preferred the trade from Toronto's point ov view. Nice work, Thorn. You got yourself a guy who's about as stable as a porcelain doll.
Now, speaking as a basketball fan, make me eat my words, Vince.

Didn't he have a cramp?
Anyone see Rasheed signalling for him to be shovelled off? Funny stuff....
I was a little surprised at him playing 42 minutes in the game after being injured though.

Evebthough Cater is my best player i hate him and wish he dosent play for the rest of the year. And gets traded back to the raps
Wed Dec 29, 2004 5:04 am
no point in being on a team where you don't want to be.
Wed Dec 29, 2004 5:18 am
yep...i think they overplayed carter last night, 42 minutes right after an injury...
but he said he'll be playin tonight
Wed Dec 29, 2004 5:34 am
He'll be all right,he'll be all right...
Guess who said that

!

well he had a good game tonite...though his shooting was a bit off...but still good stuff for a guy whose now become the 3rd guy from 6 years of being the 1st guy.
Props to VC

yeah great game by VC. he had a few nice plays in crunch time too.
I have a strong feeling he was playing bad on purpose on the raptors to force a trade. He always had it in him to play above 20 ppg.

VC looked ok against the bulls last nite. i was a bit surprised since the nets played an OT game the nitebefore, i thought his legs would be shot. deng defended him well until the 4th qtr- where VC hit some big shots

Vince was pretty solid again tonite against the pacers despite the loss. He had two nice alley oop throw downs in the game and seems to be playing great in the new jersey system. From what I see him kidd, and jefferson are gelling pretty well together. He will probably keep it up all season and seems to bet turning into the focal point of the team ahead of kidd and jefferson. Good for Carter, I love seeing the old Vince agian.

He's playing pretty good, he shot 9-20 last night and had 25-8-3, and got to the line 9 times
His averages in NJ are now 24.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 3.3 assists, I'm still surprised with his minutes though, didn't think he's play so much.

I've never liked Vince Carter at all, but I'm strangely glad to see him playing so well. As big as his ego may have been in Toronto, I don't like seeing people be unnecessarily shot down by the media and whoever else when they go into a slump, or their career just gets a bit stale. Well done to him, hopefully Ason Kidd will stay around a bit longer.
Sun Jan 02, 2005 2:31 am
Ason Kidd?
Sun Jan 02, 2005 3:07 am
kidd has no "J" just like previously Dallas would be Allas, since they had no "D"

I think him having a bigger ego would've been a good thing for the Raptors before, at least he wouldn't always pass to crappy players.
The funny thing is that out of nowhere Vince is suddenly the media's friend
When he was here with us the media would always rip on him, especially in the States, and now he's in NJ and all thse good things about Vince are coming up, they're even naming him the #1 dunker in the league.
Sun Jan 02, 2005 8:13 pm
Yeah I saw that, it's like everyone's jumping back onto the Vince bandwagon. I mean in 6 months time I'll probably dislike him again, but for now I'm happy he's getting back into form.
