Who's more important for the Suns?

Steve Nash running the floor? Amare Stoudemire in the post? Shawn Marion all around game? Joe Johnson invaluable contributions or Quentin Richarson?

Steve Nash definitely, last year when they had Amare, Shawn, and Joe Johnson, they didnt get anywhere, Nash is keepin them together with his assists

steve nash. All other point guards would shoot, even kidd would shoot. Steve nash is a pass first and pass second point guard

Very true, but Amare was also injured for a decent part of the season, and they also didn't have Q-Rich who started slow, but if still decent.

A few things, Nahs makes the offense efficient, but Phoenix has a pretty good defense too, and Nahs isn't really due to that since he has a horrible per, but Amare, Joe Johnson and Marion keep the defensive end in check.

Marion and JJ are their best defenders, but Amare has improved a lot, especially with his move to center. Their's a lot of dimensions to is, Nash controls the offense, Marion cleans up the glass, Joe Johnson and Q-Rich spread the floor, Marion, JJ, Amare and Barbosa solidfy the defense, and Amare scores and hurts other teams ego's with his dunks.

Amare is really having a breakout season, Joe Johnson's playing well, Q Richardson's a nice pickup but I'm going to have to go with Steve Nash. I remember he was described as a "poor man's John Stockton" when he was drafted in 1996; I think that tag, while certainly a huge compliment, isn't quite fitting these days. He's become a great point guard in his own right, not on Stockton's level, but still one of the best in the game today.

Amare and Steve-a little bit both i guess.They both have shown very good game. Amare is dominating down low,and steve is doing good job leadin the game. 50/50

but wouldnt u say without Nash, Amare wouldnt be this good? i mean he was dominating a lot years before but not as much as this year becuz Nash is giving him the ball where he needs it, but then someone can argue that he is more experienced this years before, hmm... :roll:

Shawn Marion is having a great year. He is the closest thing to Kevin Garnett stats wise. Check it out

KG 23.5 ppg, 15.10 rpg, 6.2 apg, 1.65 spg, 1.65 bpg, 48%FG, 30%3P
Marion 20.3 ppg, 11.70 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.83 spg, 2.08 bpg, 47%FG, 34%3P

Marion gets more steals and shoots the 3 better than Duncan. Duncan is superior in other categories like rebounds and blocks and thats because he is a 7 footer.

Well Amare did average 25 points and 9 rebounds or so after Marbury left last season on 48-50% shooting, so he can definately score without Nash, but Nash get's him easier baskets which is why he's shooting 57% or whatever it is.

Like everyone else has said basically Nash, simply because the Suns basically had the same team last year except no Nash and they were terrible.

btw i think nash has been the MVP of the suns this year. without nash i can't see them putting up the numbers that they're currently putting up right now

Steve Nash because in order for Amare to score easily, Nash needs to set him up and give him the easy shots... i mean look at Nash's apg... pretty damn good. Same goes for the rest of the team, Nash controls the game for the Suns and with his passing ability, his signing is certainly paying off right now. It all starts with Nash!

Nash's comeback to the Suns reminds me of Jason Kidd's fist season with the nets...He made this team become a contender

this sun's team is similar to the nets a couple years ago...
Amare Stoudemire --> Kenyon Martin (PF)
Shawn Marion--> Richard Jsfferson (SF)
Steve Nash--> Jason Kidd (PG)

then the other ones like kittles/joe johnson...richardson/ lucious harris

The only difference is Amare > Kenyon, Kenyon is actually dunking more in Denver now than he did in NJ, but Amare averaged 25 and 9 last season without a real PG.

Marion > Jefferson, JJ >> Kittles, Q-Rich >>> Lucios Harris, they're the better version of the Nets because their players don't rely on Kidd, Jefferson can play wihtout Kidd, but couldn't till last year because he couldn't shoot.

...but Nash helps the offense, but their's 2 sides to basketball and you have to give props to the other guys for holding it down defensively and on the boards.
