The addition of Harris (and Scott Williams) fill a vital need for the Cavs - big game experience.

The Cavaliers have quietly set themselves up to be the sleeper team in the East, barring injury. They have a very well balanced squad: talented youth (James, Gooden, Jackson), experienced vets with big game experience (Snow, Williams, Harris), size (Ilgauskas, Diop, Williams), outside shooting (Pavlovic, Harris, Jackson), and point guards who take care of the ball (McInnis, Snow). If James becomes the superstar as expected, who knows what can happen. The loss of Carlos Boozer put the Cavaliers in the background in many people's minds, but to overlook them is a mistake. I don't think the Cavs will miss Boozer that much. As long as Gooden doesn't bum around then they'll be alrite. Their PG position is really good, they are real good at the 2 as well and solid @C.

What happened with the Nets? They went from a top Eastern Conference team to probably not making the playoffs in a matter of months.

Gooden played really well sometimes last year for Orlando. If he can become consistent then they won't miss Boozer at all. I think they can make the playoffs this year. They already are two steps ahead with the Nets and Hornets being out of their way.

True, but they've generally let players go for draft picks, or at least a carton of popcorn and a Coke. They weren't handsomely compensated for the K-Mart and Kittles deals, but they did at least get something.

lmao thats a good one andrew. but you are right, they loaded up on picks from these trades. the celtics used this stratergy before. trade everyone for picks. they just kep picking the wrong players. for gods sake we could have amare right now but instead we got no one cause after we drafted crap players we traded them away for more picks/crap.

that applies to Kwame Brown as well. Both need to be consistent and not play real well sometimes but most times

yeah the only player who could get away with only playing good some of the time was robert horry. of course he usually played good at the exact right moment. who cared if he sucked all year, he just nailed a game winning 3 in the playoffs.
