Jordan bored already.

Start the rumor machine: Michael Jordan is playing basketball regularly again.

Jordan has been hooping it up this week at one of his favorite haunts, Hoops The Gym. He's been going head-to-head against such NBA veterans as Antoine Walker and Michael Finley and holding his own, according to a witness.

But before anyone starts getting the crazy idea of yet another comeback, consider this: Jordan is 41. He's been out of the NBA for a full season after averaging 20 points for Washington in 2002-03. And his next foray back into the league is expected to be in an ownership role.

Perhaps Jordan is just bored with retirement. Then again, stranger things have happened in Jordan's career.

As a fan, I just love watching this guy on the court...but it's damaging to his image. If he's contemplating coming back, I suggest he contemplate something else fast. For selfish reasons I would love to see MJ back and show his flashes of the brilliance he used to show everyone day in & day out. But for the sake of MJ, I don't want him to come back. For myself, I want to see him play again, for MJ I don't want him to come back since journalists would keep comparing him to the old (young) MJ & won't just enjoy what they are being given, they are getting to watch a legend play. Can they be satisfied with that? No. They will say oh, he's so old, why did he come back, he doesn't have "it" anymore.

All these people are seriously fucked in their heads I thinks, he'll never lose "it", he was born with "it". He could be 90, all scitzophrenic & in a wheel chair & he'd still be able to "tourch" somone. Notice I use quotations because he wouldn't tourch them in reality but he could get in a basket or two. Now letting a 90 year old get one basket is some humiliation.

Anyways, back on topic...don't think of coming back MJ. Not that we've had enough of you or anything...I just don't want young ones thinking they are the pwn since they scored 20 some points on a 41 year old legend. I don't want someone to come into the game & start going right at him, perhaps it's a respect factor or whatever.

Meh, I'm a soft idiot.

Could he be?

I can picture thousands of people being convinced that he will return to the NBA. I highly doubt that he is aiming towards a comeback.

I dont really mind having him back, but I wont take him as serious anymore with his retire-comeback moves, I dont really think he will bring somehing good for the game of basketball if he is going trough another combeback. Stay where you are foo

I wouldn't advise him coming back for one more reason, the city of Denver would be really really pissed at him. If I recall correctly, they gave him a Harley Davidson motorcycle on the eve of his last game in the city of Denver. Heh, all that money spent & he comes back? They'd shoot him.

Wow, Denver would dislike Kobe & MJ.

Woah... someone whose entire life has been about basketball plays some ball for fun  He's not allowed to have fun without having intentions of returning to the league!!

It is MJ we're talking about. I know you dislike these threads but what to do, I must share. Even if you don't care.

It`s like that, when you get famous,a whole lotta cash in your pocket, you`re a great player with SUUUUPER flying skills, but if you end your career, you just can`t get enough, you want more. I love this guy but, damn , he should not come back, he had his 15 minutes, well 15 years of fame.

His retirements are now a joke. I doubt anyone can take him seriously. I hope he doesn't come back, only because he will tarnish his PPG average.

Mike isnt comming back.. he's just playing basketball for fun. If he comes back (which he wont..), great. If he doesnt, the nba will survive, and basketball will survive. People who make a big issue out of this are the real idiots.

he better not make a comeback. It will only hurt his hall of fame career numbers, not to mention the whole tour everyone gave him in what was his final games in those arenas.

mike's not coming back.. he clearly stated he's 100% done with playing basketball.. not 95%, not 99%, not 99.7%.. as much as i want him to come back (again), he's not going to.. even if he can still play his days are over, its time to move on and im pretty sure he knows that.. its not odd how ex-nba players play pick-up ball, magic still does and i believe charles did a little while back too

As much as I'd like to see him embarass Lebron and Carmelo, he needs to move on and he probably his. He probably laughs at the fact that there are rumors. Can't the guy play a little pickup? It's not as if he's training. He just doesn't want to fall out of shape and look like Barkley.

The guy's a legend and whether he's in the public eye or not won't change that. The name Jordan will always attract people and will always help sell shoes.

I doubt that just because he's playin pick up with other NBa players means he's coming back outta retirement... he just wants to play pickup

yup typical MJ behavio, playing basketball for fun. what a fucking asshole. they should arrest him for picking up a ball after he retired. dont he know his life is over now? i mean he was good and now he is old so he better stop playing all together. he needs to start playing bridge or something.

Even if he did come back, I couldn't see him play a full 82 game season at 41.
Although he's bored, I don't think chess is the way to go; and I'm not even gonna suggest baseball.

Like everyone was saying, he can't be taken seriously anymore- it's a joke. Not himself, but him coming back. I say, if he's bored, he should get a real job. Sure, I love the guy, everyone does; but has he even worked a single day in his life?
A managment job or a coaching job- something where he works and is still close to basketball. Something along those lines would be a good idea for him.

Coaching isn't out of the picture either. If he taught a team what he learnt 20 years ago, that team would honestly have some great stars.
Anyway, if I see another 'MJ coming back?" post, I will seroiusly have to have a small chat with Mr. Michael...

last time these rumours came out about MJ playing again I said "That's it, it's done, he's back". This time I highly doubt it, though it would be fantastic to see the haters have to put up with it again :D I think this time he'll be happy just playing pick up ball.

He shouldn't comeback, that will ruin his numbers......
The closest he should ever be to the NBA now is a coaching, or management job. Maybe he could play in those 3 on 3 challenge they have in the All Star Weekend
