Wat would the NBA be most affected by without?

- Matchups
- The endorsements/money
- The crap teams

wat do u think... I think that if the NBA lost it's concept of matchups...this would be a great loss cause all fans love to watch a showdown between two guys everynight... what do y'all think?

i'm really not sure, maybe the matchups, cause when your friend's favorite is playing your favorite, and your favorite outdoes his, you can bag on him for days.

Damn, it's a tough one. Not many options but anyway, these are my choices:

Most affected: Endorsements/Money::
Think about it, no shoe contracts, no banners along the sides endorsing their product. Just like the 1950's. And so with the rate that the world travels, the NBA wouldn't be able to survive without support.

2nd Place: Crap teams::
Like Martin said- equal comp, no one would out do the other. Everyone would be as good as the other team. If someone wasn't crap, who would win? They have to be.

Honourable Mention: Matchups::
Doesn't really affect the NBA that much in that an team could have no star players and they could still be a good team. Although when you take in the "fan factor," people come to NBA games to see good matchups and seroiusly, good matchups bring good crowds (it's a cycle!)Which brings me back to endorsments. Without them, how would people know that there would be a good matchup if it wasn't advertised on websites and in papers?

Think about it... :shock:

The NBA, these days ,is based by money. It has more changed to an entertainment,from a simple game.

Imagine ,when there was no dunk contest ,no All-Star games, no nothing...

all star games have been around for along time.

anyway i think the thing that would have most changed the nba is,

what if the nba never started useing foreign players. just imagine what the league would be like now if everyone was an american.

I'd have to say Matchups because I love seeing the hype of a player and then people bash them saying to much hype. People were acting like LeBron was all hype and that Melo would outdo him and IMO Melo got owned :wink:

hype almost always leads to disapointment. also if a player was once amazing and got old and started to not do much everyone says they suck. this has always bugged me. take jordans last season. everyone was on his cash saying he should have retired. wtf are they to say that it was his life, and oh btw he still put up good stats, just not jordan type stats, then again who does put those numbers up?

sorry for going a bit off topic it just happened to pop in my head lol.
