Jersey Retires

Postby Donte Thomas on Tue Aug 24, 2004 6:30 am

Here's a topic where you discuss players active or unactive that should get there jersey retired and and players you don't think should get theirs, and why you think so. but here are mine.

Kobe Bryant. I mean if you look at it, Kobe is a great player, many call him the Next Mike, or he plays exactly like Mike, no doubt there will no other Mike, but that's who he gets compared to, he's saved their season once, the 99-00 playoff game vs. Phoenix with the shot in i think Game 4. He's a clutch player, and if you look at his numbers you'll see that over the years, his nmbers will be in the 20,000 pts total. And his career number, 21.8pts, 4.50rebs, and 4.30 assts. I find it very easy for him to get his number 8 jersey hanging next to all the Laker greats

Shaq should be grateful he's mentioned in the same breath as the greats Araujo and Gadzuric

Mark my words, Alvin Williams' fire will not be forgotten by the Raptors organisation. He's a great community guy whose attitude is a beautiful example for kids. He's no all-star or something, but I'm convinced the Raptors organisation will reward him (aside from his huge contract).

And indeed Shaq should feel lucky. Just wait until Araujo knocks him down like Mengke did.. Shaq will really hate the Raptors then lol

Do you think Marbury or Allan Houston might get their jersey retired as a Knick?

Weird, Shaq is on the ground injured while Vince is standing and is healthy. Did this happen in the Bizarro World?
