Kobe wants him because the main thing he does now is pass.

Vlade started his career as a laker, so maybe he wants to finish it in LA..
I think it will be a big loss for the Kings if Divac leaves.
I like this player a lot. He was a main piece in LA's roster, Charlotte's and then Sacramento's.

He's getting on in years but he's still a solid, legitimate centre who should have a few good seasons left in him. Even though he's not a favourite of Lakers fans these days it wouldn't be such a bad move if he returned to the team that gave him his start in the NBA. Afterall, the Lakers don't have a player taller than 6'11" on the roster at the moment. That one 6'11" player is rookie Marcus Douthit, and as far as I know he isn't a true centre.

The Kings don't need him now that they have Brad Miller.

Old Divac is now a good backup but that's it.
They need a solid center like Dampier or something like that...

Btw i don't really think he cares going to LAL because he started there. I would say it's more he wants to stay in California/Lakers want him...

Divac should be a excellent pick up for the lakers if they can get him.
He might be getting on in years, but he still can contribute alot to a team. Is always certain to get double figures in points and atleast 5rebounds, and 5 assists per game.

Which are good solid numbers for a centre. This would allow the lakers to start Lamar at SF, more importantly Grant would be able to go back to his prefered Power Forward spot where he is not disadvantaged must by his size.

I know his role is limited and I know he wants more money. He just needs to take the money Sacto is givin him and he needs to retire a King like he suppose to.He can still be a quality man for the Kings

so why not play for the clips, big salary and still at LA. he want to finish his career where he started. He also said

Divac concedes that rejoining the Lakers now after so many bitter Sacramento-L.A. battles in recent seasons won't be the easiest move. "I know how people here feel about the Lakers," he said.

He quickly adds, though, that playing in Los Angeles for his original team is the most comfortable decision for his family, although Divac said the Clippers remain a consideration.

"I played for the Lakers for seven years and for the Kings for six years," Divac said. "Both teams have a special place in my heart."

Honestly Divac is one of the player i really hate. his court antics, flopping and playing for the queens. Though i don't want him to be in Lakers, i will try to like him if he weat the purple and gold jersey. He will be a great help for lakers, a solid player and play the position of what lakers needs, a true center. with that grant can play a starting role of PF. then play some minutes in center position.

so i will accept him with open arms if we go to lakers no matter how i hate him.

I think Darius Songalia is a good replacement for Divac. He'll get more minutes this season for sure, he's already proved he can play

Lakers need Divac, even as a leader in the lockeroom. Also, he doesn't need the ball on offense and is willing to pass. A team player

ahem... Adonal Foyle & Brian Cardinal

Vlade is the man... don't hate on him.

sacramento was an ideal situation for him since they had that 3 man rotation going. can divac even play effectively for half a game now?

i like divac's game but his motor is slowing down. sure you can slide down grant and odom back to their natural positions. what about the rest of the 20-25 minutes?

ha, if you push divac's minutes up he'll flop his way to a broken bone and miss the playoffs :D or maybe he'll "accidentally" flop on to kobe's monkey

Hooray- Vlade is coming home....we now have an inside presence....(Although he's a bit OLD!)

Vlade is a good friend of Peja...Peja is sad he is leaving...maybe LA can trade Odum for Peja...(I'm dreamin' again!)

And to Jackal...u gotta love it! Go Lakers!

Oh- and according to ESPN.com- Malone had something to do with Vlade coming to Lakers...he sacraficed his mid-level to get Divac to come and play...but it is bad news- cause he is either:

a) Considering leaving to another team
b) Retiring
c) the happy option...returning next season!

On the Laker roster they got Brian Grant as forward so now I guess the centers are Vlade and that Marcus Donut guy.
