Hot or Not

Postby fgrep15 on Thu Feb 26, 2004 4:36 pm

Well the second part of the season has began, and this is what it all boils down too. So who's been hot since the All-tar break, and who's been stinking up their team.

HOT

Kobe has been steaming hot averaging 33.8 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 8 apg, 2.6 spg, shooting 58.3% from the field, but also averaging 3.2 turnovers per game.

Darius Songaila has been hot for the Kings averaging a double double the last 3 games.
Also averaging 14.2 ppg, 9 rpg, and shooting 57.7% since the break.

Chris Crawford has become a scoring option on the very sad Hawks averaging 18.8 ppg while shooting 50% since the break.

Marcus Camby has been on fire for the Nuggets, rebounding well and also scoring more the last few games. Averaging 11.4 ppg, 12.4 rpg and 4.6 bpg since the All-Star break.

Stephen Jackson has been averaging 22.5 ppg, 7.8 rpg, and shooting 43.7% from the field.

Kirk Hinrich has also been on fire, averaging 16.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 7.0 apg, and 2.25 steals per game. His shooting hasn't been that great though.

Cardinal's been averaging 13.8 ppg, and 6.6 rpg.

James Posey's been averaging 21.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg, and also shooting 53.7%.

Yao has also been sizzling, averaging 21.6 ppg, and 2.6 blocks per game, while shooting a killer 60.5% from the field and 80.0% from the line.

Dwyane Wade has also been tearing it up averaging 23.3 ppg while shooting 53.1%, 78.6% from the line, and also averaging 1 block and 1.75 steals per game.

Melo has been shooting 44.5% since the break, and averaging 28.0 ppg, 7 rpg, and 2.8 apg.

Nene has also been killer for Denver averaging 12.6 ppg, 8.4 rpg and shooting a whopping 68.4% from the field.

Also Lebron hasn't been doing bad, he's been averaging 20.4 ppg on 43.8% shooting, and 6.2 rpg and 5.0 apg since the break. He's also shot 84.6% from the line in that stretch and averaged 1.6 bpg, and only 2.2 turnovers per game.

NOT

Tmac, yea he's been on a scoring spree averaging 29.8 ppg, 6 boards and 4 dimes, but he's been shooting 36.7% from the field since the break.

Paul Pierce has also been on a down streak, he's been shooting 39.8% since the break while averaging 22.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 3.8 apg.

Maurice Taylor has been a little off and lost the past few games, since the break he's averaged 6.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.0 turnovers per game, and has been shooting 32.6% from the field and 40% from the line.

Shareef's scoring has gone down, but he's not really been cold he's just not getting the shots he used too.

Lastly, Jamison has digressed the past few games, averaging 9.3 ppg while shooting 39.0% from the field.

nice thread. however the season is in it's final stretch. most teams have around only 25 games to go.

Well, Shaq WAS Hot a few days ago but he seems to have 'cooled' down...he was averaging 28ppg and 13 rpg in the four (three?) games after the break....Kobe seems to be at full steam...scored 35, 7 and 10 in a Lakers victory over Denver....Man- this is the Kobe I've been waitin for all season! (No doubt lakers management have been waitin for this Kobe too!)

Yao scored 20 against Spurs and also did ok today against Cavs! Wat do u expect...stephen Jackson is one of the only good guys on the Hawks! He needs to step up and prove his worth to the Hawks!

I'm just laughin at Tracy cause he thought his team was good but they're strugglin' someone should get this intro Kobe's mind- One-man teams CAN'T WIN!

Drew Gooden , Jeff McInnis and D-Miles

First off WTF has happened to Drew Gooden this year?
Second half of last season hot playoffs even hotter this year on the bench and the magic are rumoured to be trying to off load him.
Dont get me wrong his numbers off the bench are great (11.5 & 6.50 ) but after last season i just expected more from him like a starting spot??
yes they do have Juwan Howard there but in the early part of the season they worked both into the lineup but now Drew been pushed out, how has this happened?

Right who's hot...

Since the trade between Miles and McInnis both players have been playing some of there best basketball ive evey seen them , McInnis putting up 11.6 ppg and 7.6 apg while starting evey game for the Cavs pulling off some big wins over teams like the Spurs.
Miles looks to of found a home in Portland, a team with a good rep for developing young talent have taken Miles a step in the right direction averaging 11.5 ppg 4 rpg in 17 games for the Blazers also taking his ft% up from .542 to .708.
one player to keep an eye on is Brandon Hunter of the Celtics, not much to get excited about but in his first nba start last night he put up 17 points and 9 rebounds in 34 minutes on 6/12 shooting only downfall was that he went 5/12 from the line
like i said not much to get to excited about but worth keeping an eye on.

I asked What's it without the Pistons game?

It's .407 without the Pistons game. And .415 without the Nuggets game where he was ejected.

I dont think Francis has been playing well lately. He's under 40% this month and only 25% from downtown.
