Yao had a super game with 41pts, 16reb, 7ast. Granted, it was against Atlanta but still very impressive numbers. (Y)

Waiting for yaomingmania.com to do a write-up on this game.

Hopefully he can develop and be able to do that night in night out

Fantastic numbers for Yao. (Y) He's already steadily increasing his scoring and rebounding numbers, the next step towards rivalling the numbers and success of the great centres in NBA history is to increase his assist numbers (and have more of these performances ). From what I've seen he's a great passer for a big man. If the Rockets run their offense through him, it wouldn't be out of the question for him to average 3 to 3.5 apg (as Hakeem did in his prime).

That must have been a heck of game to watch, what a pleasure to see a triple overtime thriller, (Y)

He's alright...but he doesn't finish anywhere near the top of big men in any assist stat (around 50th in assist ratio, around 72nd in PPR and his Assist % is only 4.7)
Hopefully he can develop and be able to do that night in night out

Him going for 41pts 16rebs and 7asts night in and night out is asking a bit much IMO...

Yao was huge (y) Very good numbers-41,16 and 7 dimes.I hope he will show us same good numbers in this year.

He is moving closer to Shaq, but he isnt so dominant.

 I messed up earlier and looked one column over from where I should've

Yao is 36th in big men who have played at least 15% of possible minutes in assist ratio, 50th in PPR and 12th in Assist %...

Wait for the playoffs and some big play-off games from Yao! I predict he will be very dominant by the 'second' season!

The playoffs are often reffered to as "the real season" which is what sit meant, i think?

it's nice to see that no one's mentioning the fact that Yao was able to do this against ATLANTA... cuz to me those numbers are good no matter how bad the other team is..
