a match between the best international players voted by all world people and all american team voted only in america . it would be cool in my opinion. watching the last AS game.i think international players isnt included in the action that match as they dont have much exciting game style. What do you guys think about it ? Wouldnt it be great ? i am sure international team would kick ass. :D

Kind of like the Olympics, except the best of the world?

for exp
international team
C-Yao/Memo/Ilgauskas
PF-Gasol/Dirk/Songalia
SF-Stojakovic/Hedo/Kirilenko
SG-Ginobili/Giricek
PG-Parker/Jaric

All American
C-Shaq/Ben
PF-Duncan/Zach/Jermaine
SF-Garnett/Marion/Carter
SG-Kobe/T-MAC/Iverson
PG-Kidd/Gloves/Starbury

You're sure the international team would kick ass?

Matchups:

Yao vs Shaq:

Right now, I still give the edge to Shaq, Yao is still learning, a few more years, and I'll give Yao the edge.

Duncan vs Gasol/Dirk: (Wtf is Songalia doing here??)

Duncan vs whoever right now, Duncan wins.

Garnett vs Pedja/Hidayet/Kirilenko:

Combine these three and they would equal Garnett. He can score (Peja) + He can defend (Kirilenko) What does Hedo do again? Oh yeah, good bench player.

Oh, we wont even talk about Marion and Carter.

Bryant/T-Mac/Iverson vs Ginobli/Giricek:

Do I need to comment? Ginobli is good, but not as good as these three. He's a good defensive player. But they are they. Giricek? Are you serious?

Kidd/Payton/Marbury vs Parker/Jaric:

International team would kick ass, my ass.

They had this last year at the All-Star weekend. I have no idea why they got rid of it.

He posted the same topic there, there are members here, that dont visit there...so that's why I posted my opinion here. Lay off? He posted the same topic, I posted my same opinion. It's like with Andrew, if there are 2 similiar topics and he posts in one, he quotes himself and posts it in the other topic. That's all I've done, I'm not hounding him or anything, I'm posting what I think about his post. That is the point, is it not?

The point IMO is, it's getting personal between you & him, and it's not getting funny... the basic principle of every kinda forum...

World:

C-Yao/Ilgauskas/Magloire/Kandi
PF-Duncan(they need someone)/Gasol/Nene
SF-Dirk/Kirelenko/Kukoc/Radmanovic
SG-Stojakvic/Ginobli/Giricek
PG-Nash/Parker/Arroyo

Other guys: Turkoglu, Welsch, Memo, DIKEMBE, Jaric, Gadzuric

The game would still be kinda garbage but s'all good.

The point in your opinion is wrong then. I think I would know when it's personal between me and another person.

The point is to discuss, I've been doing that, I admit, I disagree in a rather harsh way, but hey...not everyone is all roses and love I suppose.

*Sigh* How about not commenting on it Tales? It had died down, people went back to topic, I stopped posting, Neo Boy stopped, I made my point, he made his...people were posting their opinions, and out of the blue, you bring it up again with your insightfull on topic post.

Whatever is transpiring between me & Neo, let it be.

Again, Neo, it isn't anything personal, you make topics, I comment. I'm not attacking you, I'm expressing my opinions about your topics.

*Sigh* Tales...just let it die.

...so a priest walks into a bar...

aherm, oh right, the topic!

because we can play D lol them guys from europe can score but can they play D ?? lol

You mean like at the last world championships?
I think the "World" team would give the American team a tough game, no doubt. The US team may beat other international teams (with that lineup above) by 20, 30, or 40 points depending on the opposition. And those teams would have one star player, maybe two, ie Yugoland, Germany, Spain, etc. Ofcourse that's an assumption besed on past results. The US team even with all its best players could not beat top international teams by 30 or 40 points now like they used to a few years ago... perhaps they could take care of Angola or Saudi Arabia or someone by 40  . In 2000 Shaq and TD were missing, and the US barely got out alive. The Lithuaninan PG missed a shot at the buzzer to win that semi final game. Earlier in the game ofcourse, Gary Payton comming off a screen kneed the starting centre of Lithuania in the balls. :?

But here (on the world team) you have a team full of international stars, who no longer just play in some obscure Euro/Chinese/South American league but play in the NBA on a nightly basis. With Yao in there, Shaq's presence which he once had over international teams would be much diminished. The rest of the American team are just basketball players, they're not invincible.

Good points Stevan, they might not be invincible, but seriously, the matchups, I still stand by my opinion that the International Team, wouldn't "KICK THEIR ASS PMG!!!!".
