LeBron's ugly shoes (yeah, I bought two purrs).
In the rookie locker room, Chris Bosh looked at the handful of rookies left in the room and asked, "Anyone want to trade signed shoes?" No one answered until he directed the question at Jarvis Hayes who just nodded his head and said, "Sure." Udonis Haslem just stared at them both, confused by the whole idea of trading shoes.
Following the quick media session, the East All-stars took to the court for their walk through. Clement Chu now presents his three favorite moments of All-Star Practice:
-- During a three-man weave drill, Sam Cassell had his back turned and Shaq came up behind him and dunked it on him, sending E.T. flying into a row of cameramen...boy, Shaq will do anything to get that Western Conference lead huh?
-- During a West huddle, Shaq tried to get all his teammates to engage in a chant, the only reluctant participant being Yao. Shaq then ran right up to him and started chanting in his face prompting Yao to turn and run.
Ruben Studdard was apparently digging it after he and Shaq bumped into each other on the baseline following a play. When asked what happened, Shaq smiled. "I just wanted everybody to know I'm suing Ruben Studdard because when I got the dunk I accidentally bumped him and he had his hand on my ass, as he wouldn't let go." Shaq then started busting up. "I'm suing."
