Kings Activate Chris Webber!!!

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Feb. 16 -- The Sacramento Kings on Monday activated forward Chris Webber, according to Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie.

Webber has missed all 50 of the Kings' regular-season games this year due to an injury suffered in Game 2 of the 2003 Western Conference Semifinals at Dallas (5/8), ending his season. He underwent left knee surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus and to smooth and repair an articular cartilage defect for healing during this past off-season (6/10).

Webber, currently in his 11th NBA season, and sixth with the Kings, has amassed career averages of 22.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.52 steals and 1.71 blocks per game over 596 regular-season contests through 10 NBA seasons with Golden State, Washington and Sacramento.

In a related move, the Kings placed forward Lawrence Funderburke on the injured list (left Achilles surgery) to make room for Webber on the active roster, which now stands at 12 players.

I wonder what their starting line up will be tonight when they take on Boston?? With Miller out with a sprained foot divac will get to keep his centre position and webber will just fill the Miller void.

I'm pretty sure he's getting suspended by the NBA for some games because of his legal stuff.

They just activated him off the injured list so the suspension would start now when he can't play anyway instead of him actually missing time for it

Well whenever he plays, he will be under some serious pressure, because his trade value is pretty high and if the Kings become worst than they are now, I think he might be on the way out in some big blockbuster deal during the summer.

C-Webb is finally back...almost. The Kings are looking even stronger on paper, it would be very unfortunate if Webber's return spoiled their chemistry.

Webber is still 2 weeks or so away from actually playing, he's still hurt. He was unactivated so that he could serve his suspension while he was still hurt, smart move by the Kings.

Sacramento is doing so good without Webber so I don't know if I should be happy or sad for Sacramento. Maybe they should consider to get rid of him  don't know :?

I was thinking Jordan too.

Sac should have activated him 8 games ago so that by the time he's really ready, his suspension id up.

Well, if Iverson is willing to have stat lines like he did in the all-star game, it might not bad idea.

If you're talking about MJ, he was born in 1963, which makes him 41 this year.
