Wow, this was announced like 7 hours ago. I'm surprised you just found it. It helps to have www.espn.com as your homepage. :)

yeah. he only got his team to the finals 2 years in a row with the same team and maintained a good carreer win % and have had one of the best teams in the east even tho the east is weak. they should have gotten rid of him sooner if they had known he would accomplish those things.

WOW you are not a nets fan are you? u dont watch any nets game. Byron sucked, eddie jordan was all the brains, now that he has gone to washington, nets have not played well. He did bad substitution patterns and made wrong decisions. Kidd and matin dont like him. this is the best for the nets.

It seemed like Scott would be shown the door eventually, though I always figured it would be in the offseason. The Nets aren't doing as well as they have been the last couple of years, but they're still above .500 and on top of the Atlantic. I guess the Nets have just lost faith in Scott - or maybe their patience with him.

Did you watch the two finals that the Nets went to? They rarely had timeouts left when they needed them because Scott waster timeouts. Eddie Jordan was the brains behind the operations and even Kidd wanted Jordan to be the coach.
