NEW YORK -- Isiah Thomas will fire Knicks coach Don Chaney and replace him with Mike Fratello -- possibly as early as tonight -- the New York Daily News is reporting

seems like a good move to me, Fratello gives them a coach who preaches defence

I heard that Fratello's Cavs teams were very boring to watch. That's about all I know. Hopefully he'll be better than Chaney.

It must suck when you hear such a rumor and then find out you didn't get the job.

He doesn't think it sucks, he thinks it's silly that Isiah Thomas announced it when he hadn't given Czar a contract. (or something... i read it in an article somewhere)

I read that Fratello either wasn't even contacted about the job, or wasn't close to getting the job shortly before Lenny Wilkens was named as the new head coach.
