Isiah's first trade...

Isiah Thomas' first move as the Knicks GM is trading Clarence Weatherspoon to the Rockets for John Amaechi and Moochie Norris.

I guess Clarence wasn't so untradeable. And it looks like Isiah has a plan...unlike that other guy.

geeze another pg in moochie. He is good, but so is frank williams, Charlie ward and howard eisley. Ameechi is an ok backup at centre in the east, but i guess at least the knicks get something back for spoon instead of just cutting him..

Maybe they can play shandon anderson at sf off the bench, and have moochie and charlie ward as their backcourt off the bench? Would that work maybe..

I'd like to hear about Moochie and Amaechi's contract... I really dunno... Well... Weathersknife's lenghty contract is off the books now... He wasn't contributing this season anyway...

Norris has until 2007, but has a buyout clause after 2006. I read that he is paid $15 mil.

Ameachi will make $5 mil in the next two years but he also has a buyout clause.

I'm quite confused about this trade because of maybe about the players we get but I think it's a good one for us. I think Norris can help us off the bench and which i think could led Eisley get less minutes on the court. Forget Ameachi, looks like he will be waived.

Spoon, I think he played well but he was an undersized power forward.

Goodbye to Ward or Eisley or both. I think Isiah's gonna be busy the next couple of weeks.

Lots of team would take on Ward's contract :)

I don't wwant NVE in NY, things are going good right now and we building to the future. NVE is getting old and will soon be considered a overpaid player when his talent diminishes and he still has a long contract.
