just wanted to give the guy some recognition. he's been in my doghouse ever since then bulls coach 'elbows' bill benched crawford for the unproven rookie. now he's earned his way out of it.

earlier in the season he couldn't hit a shot or take care of the ball, i would think to myself, is his on the ball defense THAT important?

but ever since the trade, he's stepped up- he's playing with great confidence, hitting shots, running the offense, making hustle plays, fearless drives to the hole...showing why he was made the 7th pick overall in the draft.

i'm going to boldy say that he's the pg that the bulls wished jay williams would become. while the bulls are still waiting on the twin towers to develop, at least they found a good pg to compliment then

good job by pax and kirk. where are all the bulls fans that were crying about the hinrich draft pick now?

later on in that thread i said:

bulls fans now to have accept what we have and move forward. otherwise- go to the realgm forum and cry with the rest of the bulls fans there. now that i've had time for the hinrich pick to settle in, the bulls did ok with hinrich. he won't be great but we won't be bad.

and also:
this may sound crazy but...
a small backcourt of hinrich/crawford is better then williams/crawford. williams may be the better player overall then hinrich, but hinrich's strengths better fill what the bulls need in a PG: better shooter, better defender, better pg skills, more consistent overall.

I can't remember if I said anything negative about him when he was selected, but in any event he's looking like a good, sensible selection. His numbers remind me a little of John Paxson, though Pax shot the ball at a much higher percentage.

man I was actually wanting to make a thread about Hinrich and Crawford.
I wasn't sure about the pick, but he has exceeded expectations so far. Hope he keeps going, though todays game wasn't great.

As for Crawford... he has turned into Antoine Walker. He's a bitch. 1-12 from down town yesterday (I think) and 2-13 today. That's bullshit, get a grip JC! So frustrating since the Bulls lost to the Pistons by 4 points. Do the right thing on 6 out of those 13 possesions, and score on half of those 6 possesions and you have a victory! :?

They still did okay I guess considering the the injuries.

jackal, i give in to your master debating skills...

yeh- that bulls game was frustrating to watch. billups practically tried his best to give the game away by missing all those free throws...bulls definitely could have used one of their injured big men in uniform tonite.

seems like crawford needs those rhythm dribbles to hit a trey ball. though he did shoot a lot 3pters, most of them came within the offense, just a few were 'antoine-like'.

i agree, stevan, they did allright. would have been a very embarrasing, disheartening for detroit if they lost to this injury depleted team at home

yes it would be an embarrassing loss to the Pistons considering they shot 46% to the Bulls 31%.........go the Pistons, the D is back and the O seems to be coming along quite nicely, although Okur needs to be more productive

that was off-topic but i have nothing else to say
