McDyess to play Tonight

Postby Amphatoast on Tue Dec 02, 2003 10:24 am

yaya finally!
As a Knicks fan this is exciting. Antonio McDyess is finally going to play tonight. He will come in the 3rd quarter with 3minutes remaining and play for 6minutes is what Don Chaney plans to do tonight.
I don't know about you guys, but I consider tonight a win for the Knicks even if they lose vs. Detriot unless McDyess gets injured again.
Lets just hope he is the same guy he was 2 years ago getting 20/10 ( even 16/8 is good) because in the weak east( and Atlantic division), he can be the difference in the Knicks making the playoffs or not

unless Layden gets rid of Anderson, Weatherspoon, Eisley and Harrington for something decent without getting more overpaid players..

and also make Chaney play Maciej Lampe!! Everyone wanted the Knicks to draft him and now the poor guy doesn't even look like he will play 1 game in his rookie season :(

i hope he can get healthy and play consistently over the rest of his career. hopefully he can return to 1999 form where he was 5th mvp, and the 3rd best PF in the NBA

'Dyess played 13 minutes, scored 2 points. I too hope that in time he can be the player he once was. I'd hate to see him go the way of Grant Hill.

McDyess played great, his stats look low but really the Knicks don't want to force things. It means the Knicks don't want him to be the next Grant Hill, who many projected came as the old Hill, but only last 2 months. I prefer to see a McDyess getting better with the time who can last 5 or 6 more years. (Y)
