In an age where all kinds of facts and figures get brought up a lot - even obscure ones like being the first player to get at least 25 points and 8 blocks at home on a Tuesday while wearing an alternate uniform, and all that - it probably doesn't get mentioned enough. Considering that they faced some great teams and stars, and Scottie Pippen also missed close to half of the 1998 regular season, it's quite an incredible feat.

It also reminds me how lucky we Bulls fans were in the 90s, and emphasises why it felt like they could never lose; why we were surprised when they lost even though they obviously did, albeit not that much in the championship years. It's been tough to go from that to a few rebuilding efforts that never could get past a certain point. In that regard, Derrick Rose's first knee injury seven years ago still stings. It really felt like they were on the cusp of being contenders again, only to have it all come crashing down in the final seconds of Game 1 against the 76ers.
