People talking about how that was a bad shot... For most people it is but the man shot nearly 40 percent on the season and wound up 8-12 from 30+ ft in the series.

Jennifer must be pleased.

The worst thing you could do in that situation would be to give the ball back to OKC with time left on the clock. The shot was obviously within his range and his decision to dribble out the clock and pop it eliminated every variable except whether or not it went in.

And it put the ultimate cap on the best game of his career. If this had been a game seven, one would think this game contrived for some sports movie.. Fifty points and ten three pointers... Being down 15 with less than 7 minutes to go... C.J. missing most of the first half with foul trouble... Kanter being banged up and Nurkic showing up to watch late in the game... doing so against his main rival who had been acting almost cartoonishly villainous and getting revenge on the franchise that was stolen from a neighboring city.

Absolutely disastrous series from Russell Westbrook, arguably worse than Lillard's last year against the Pelicans due to the way he's been conducting himself. As bad as this loss is, Thunder fans might look at Lillard's bounce back from that series as hope that Westbrook might be back with a vengeance next season. Might need to be under a different coach though.

It was a fine shot, but far from one of the greatest in league history (some people are honestly saying it's the greatest shot ever -- wtf). Not to discredit it, but you're up 3-1 in a tied home game... not exactly the most pressure. Imagine hitting that shot in a Game 7 down two, heck, I would've been impressed if they were just down a point.

I still like the Houston one better, but the waving goodbye then no excitement or celebration from him after was classic. But the fact that it was like from 37 feet out and he shot it like a regular jumper was cool

You wouldn't call it an ideal shot or the great look you'd normally want to have in that situation, but at the end of the day, he made it. As Lamrock said, you don't want to give OKC the ball back with any time left on the clock, so it was a calculated risk on a shot that he was capable of making (and did). The bottom line is the result, and the result was that it won the game.

Agreed. There is a rush to proclaim everything the best ever the moment it happens and immediately dismiss everything that came before it, instead of giving it time to settle and then putting it into historical context. Aside from dumping on history, it also doesn't let us live in the moment and enjoy what we've just seen. It was an awesome shot, a great moment in this year's Playoffs. For now, that's a fair assessment and praise without dipping into hyperbole.

The call on his 0.9s shot was better but this shot was better overall. Against PG as well. I kept yelling at the screen when the time was winding down because he was nowhere near the line but it was Dame Time. Cant do shit about that.

Also, any of you catch Chandler Parsons' tweet? He tweeted "Happens to the best of us". lol. He was the guy who contested Lillard's 0.9 shot.
Rest In Peace Kobe

We can all agree that Russ and giannis aren’t the best shooters right? but pls look at the Difference in spacing for giannis vs difference in spacing for Westbrook
