YouTube embeds should be working again now, so the video benji posted should show up.

Looks like it's been blocked by YouTube due to a claim by Disney.

i personally am on the opposite side of this. if he really wanted out he should not have tanked his trade value. you want to play some place else? fine thats your right but at least have some ounce of professionalism about it

Agreed. Acting petulant and unprofessional hurts a player's trade value, and subsequently their current team's leverage in negotiations. The team is going to look out for themselves the same way a player is going to look out for theirs, so they're not going to settle for a bad trade if they can possibly avoid it (especially a competent front office like the Spurs'). If a player makes himself difficult to trade, or unappealing as a free agent, his options are limited.

One might be inclined to point to DeMarcus Cousins as an exception to that, since he landed in an enviable destination despite his well-known baggage. However, not only was he a free agent willing to settle for less on a one year deal, the team that took a chance on him certainly didn't need to get him to become a contender, meaning there's virtually no risk.

Kyrie will definitely look at New York next year, coming off a situation where he wasn’t “the man” for Boston and them still almost making the finals can’t be good for his ego.

Go to Boston or something. Chicago is a really big city where you can probably be a starter too.

Just stay the F away from Los Angeles. Wouldn’t even wish him on the Clippers.

Marc Stein says Houston is interested if he becomes a free agent.

Goddammit you were 4 years too late

Honestly I don't think he could ever lead a team anywhere. The only success I think he could have is by ring chasing and being the 4th option on a stacked team like the warriors

I thought Warriors too first, but he doesn’t wanna come off the bench. No way he’s starting for the Warriors I think.

After 17 years with San Antonio, Tony Parker signed a 2 year, $10mil contract with Charlotte.

maybe he is fine with a bench role with the warriors since it means a free ring?

he probably gonna go to LA though or the rockets

Please God, not the Lakers. I already have rondo on the team. I'll root for these guys as hard as I rooted for Tyler Ennis

Sacramento offering Zach LaVine a 4yr/$80 million deal is such a Sacramento move.

Why overspend on a guy when you already have Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic playing in his position? Is LaVine even an upgrade over those two?

Houston seems to be the most likely destination for Melo. I don't think he's the player that puts them over the Warriors, though. Sure, they were damn close last season as it was, but Melo had a horrible year, and doesn't seem willing to make the appropriate adjustments and sacrifices at this point in his career. I can see him being the spanner in the works, rather than the final piece of the puzzle.

Tony Parker going to the Hornets is crazy. I too figured he'd retire a Spur, but I guess he feels out of place (and maybe a little unappreciated) with the Spurs' youth movement.

As I said in the Bulls topic, I'm happy for them to let Zach LaVine walk. Good for him landing that big payday, don't match it, GarPax.

Bulls are matching.

The Bulls have decided to match Sacramento's $78M offer sheet to Zach LaVine, league sources tell ESPN.

Too much for a guy coming off a major injury who shot under 40% from the field last year and played just 24 games for them. I hope it works out, but damn GarPax.

at this point i dont think anyone puts the rockets over the warriors. they could land kawhi for a 2nd round draft pick and a bag of cheetos and they still lose to the warriors

To put it another way, Melo might actually decrease their chances.
