Nice Najera sighting in that vid of Vince Carter. Dunno why but I used to have fun watching those kinda hustle players that were so unique. Like Junk yard dog Jerome, Othella Harrington, Pete Chilcutt, George Lynch, Kevin Willis, Pollard, etc.

Knew of the guy, but not really familiar with him, but have been since he's on the '07-'08 Nuggets in 2K18 and I recreated that Nets team... thought he was a three-point marksman.

On the subject of that assist to Najera, I feel like one of the most underrated aspects of VC's game is his passing.

Looks like Uncle Drew, no disguise needed.

One of the reasons I think it would be cool to have a retired players game as part of the all-star festivities (Like I was saying to Andrew). Some of these guys can straight ball still, and the celebrity game (when they include classic players) is too silly. I'd rather have a game full of retired players like Mobley.

I'm interested in them bringing back the concept, though I think they should stick to players who are fairly recently retired. That was the problem with the old Legends game; some of the guys were more than twenty years removed from playing professionally, and it was kind of sad to see at times, not to mention there were some injuries. I think you'd probably end up with a lot of players who weren't perennial All-Stars (if ever they made an All-Star team) or all-time greats, but then, the NBA seems to call all of its alumni "Legends", so I guess the name would still fit.

Well how about this for a somewhat recently retired 5 on 5 game, and who do you think would win? Assuming they did two 12 minutes halves, run time. And, that the players would be reasonably healthy.

This obviously would never happen, but I'd certainly watch this game. It would be a lot of fun.

That seems plausible. I could see some of the bigger names declining to take part, but a lot of those players might participate, and could probably still go. I feel like Team One might win that one, though I am inclined to pick Team Two just for Kobe.

There's always going to be debate about the greatest player in NBA history, but 21 years ago, I do think we saw the greatest April Fool's prank in NBA history.

I watched this entire game on Monday night. If all-star games were played like this in todays NBA, I would watch every single one.

Good defensive intensity throughout, a good competitive game. Worthy had some sweet dunks, Nique with two 360 layups, Bird played well. Moses is just a beast on the boards, and Kareem looks so good for 38.

Jordan taking the Pacers to school at age 39.

Rose also had a good outing (22 points in the second half). Him and MJ get into it.

Big 3 is as close as you will get. Andre Owens is the top draft pick this year after being picked 2nd last year

Most likely. I could see them incorporating Legends in some way during the All-Star Weekend again, but not a fully fledged alumni game, for the reasons I mentioned.
