I admit that I thought Kerr's initial reaction was a bit rich, given how he's defended intentionally dirty plays by Dramond Green and Zaza Pachulia. Glass houses, and all that. Seems they smoothed it over though, cooler heads prevailing. Just very unfortunate, hopefully McGaw is OK moving forward.

Carter has no history of being malicious. I think he was just stuck in two minds and couldn’t get his body out of the way in time.

latest report says he'll only miss 3 games. Saw some people at twitter framing vince as a dirty player wtf. Have they even seen the clip where he was crying? Clearly wasn't intentional.

Yeah, there are some bad takes out there. He has no history of dirty play, and he was clearly distraught and remorseful in the aftermath.

this season has been the worst, so many scary falls and heartbreaking injuries. jaylen brown fall was the scariest one but thankfully it wasn't as severe as it looked. glad that mccaw is okay as well, his agony was a very sad thing to witness.

on a side note, kawhi leonard needs to leave spurs

That jaylen brown fall was so bad everyone watching in our house fell silent but that mccaw fall had the worst followup. His legs went numb and was transported out in a stretcher, probably why Vince was distraught.

There's a weird "aura" between Pop/Spurs and Leonard's camp right now. Hope we see him in the playoffs

They seem to be downplaying it, but certain comments really do hint at the relationship between Kawhi and the Spurs being at least a little strained right now. It's weird to see that kind of divide and dysfunction with the Spurs.

I don't think anyone realistically thought Celtics would win the Championship this year. Looking forward to Hayward and Irving playing with a much developed team next year when they will actually pose a threat.

Also, Scott Brooks I feel you homie: https://twitter.com/ESPNNBA/status/982100029803556865

The Cavs made a spirited run to pull off the comeback, and the Wizards did get a couple of bad calls against them, but that was a painful choke job to watch. Brooks' reactions say it all.

Can't wait til Rockets get eliminated in the second round and Harden receives his season MVP after the Finals end, it will be a hilarious display of how meaningless it is.

Also, OKC-GSW matchup in first round will be interesting with Curry out.

Sixers just won their 14th straight game, 50th of the season. Impressive turnaround from where they were a couple of years ago.

You would think so. He has really lifted his game to another level since Embiid has been out. His triple-double against the Cavs the other day was amazing.

Andre Ingram was amazing!!!! Can't believe this guy was in the G-League for 10 years and just recently called up by the Lakers. Well deserved, what a feel-good moment for basketball. Can't write a better underdog story than that.

Also imagine having your first shot at an NBA game after 10 years in the G-League and you're 32 years old. You're on the line and everyone in the Staples Center is chanting MVP to you. Shit made me tear up.

If the current standings stand in East, PHI vs MIL will be one hell of a series. I anticipated MIL to be the solid third seed behind Cavs and Raps but seems 76ers with rising stars have made it. What do you guys think? Greek Freak in prime vs rising superstars Embiid/Simmons. Sounds like a series to watch in the first round to me.

As for the Thunder, what a complete failure. Overrated superstars Melo and Paul George failed to make the team better from last year. Their record is pretty much identical to last year's. Some thought Paul/Melo successfully were gonna replace Durant's place. This is why having 1 legit superstar is far better than 2 or 3 star players. I am guessing the Thunder will break up their core and Westy also might be gone sooner or later. Sad to think what could have been because Harden/Durant/Westy combo would have been very possible with right decisions. Think about 3 league MVPs in prime on a same squad.

I would be okay if the Rockets lost that game, I was really happy for Ingram today. Too bad the Lakers threw the ball away under the last 2 minutes.

Let's see him play more than one game in the big time, first. That said, I hope he does find further success, and manages to stick around for a few more years. Even if he doesn't though, he got there in the end, and what a performance when he did!

Yeah but if Chris Rock can judge the dunk contest I could totally see Ingram making it to the 3-point contest next year even if he doesn't play another nba game. lol.

If so, he wouldn't be the first player not under NBA contract to compete in the three-point shootout, so Chris Rock isn't the precedent here. Rimas Kurtinaitis was invited to compete in 1989, becoming the only non-NBA player to take part, while Craig Hodges was allowed to compete in 1993 despite being a free agent. He did so while wearing a generic NBA jersey:

Andre Ingram story is cool and all but I dont get why everyone is acting so overly emotional about it. Yeah he played 10 years in the G league and got to play his first NBA game at age 32.....Anything else I am missing that makes this such a heartwarming story? The way people are reacting I thought he was 50+ years old or something.
